The present invention is directed to a building panel having a laminate structure, the laminate structure including a topcoat layer comprising a first intumescent composition, a cellulosic veneer layer, an adhesive layer formed from an adhesive composition comprising a second intumescent composition, and a metallic substrate layer and wherein the cellulosic veneer layer is at least partially bonded to the metallic substrate by the adhesive layer. The resulting building panel exhibits superior flame retardancy resulting in a Class A fire rating, according to ASTM E-84.

A method is disclosed of manufacturing a transparent wear resistant surface layer (1). The method comprising the steps of, applying a decorative material on a carrier, applying a dry powder layer comprising a mix of processed wood fibres, binder and wear resistant particles above the decorative layer, curing the mix to a decorative surface, comprising the transparent wear resistant layer, by applying heat and pressure on the mix. In a preferred embodiment the method comprises the step of pressing the mix against an embossed matrix to create an embossed decorative surface with high wear resistance.

The present invention describes a method for thermo-treatment of wood, where said method comprises the following steps: a) selecting the wood to be as free from knots as possible b) introducing the wood to a temperature increase up to approximately 173° C; c) maintaining the wood at an ambient temperature of 173° C for 3-5 hours; d) decreasing the temperature to approx. 20° C; e) introducing the wood into an autoclave wherein a mixture of linseed oil and mineral oil is applied to the wood, and allowing the mixture to penetrate the wood f) retrieving and storing the treated wood. Furthermore a timber member made with wood treated according to the method is disclosed.

A stone-wood composite base engineered wood flooring having a stone- wood composite base layer in which at least one mesh layer is embedded. Adhered to the base layer is a wood veneer layer. Interlocking design such as tongue-and-groove is provided on at least two sides of the engineered flooring. The wood veneer layer of the engineered wood flooring has improved fireproof performance, waterproof performance and moisture-proof performance. When the pieces of flooring are bonded to either each other or the floor, undesired warping of joints is consequently minimized.

Es wird eine Gebäudetrennwand in Holzbauweise vorgeschlagen. Die Gebäudetrennwand hat zwei im Abstand voneinander vertikal angeordnete Verbundwandplatten (1), von denen jede eine Tragplatte (3) aus Holz oder/und einem Holzwerkstoff umfasst und jede Tragplatte (3) auf ihrer zur anderen Tragplatte (3) gelegenen Flachseite mit einer Schutzplatte (9) aus feuerhemmendem oder nicht brennbarem Material flächig bekleidet ist. Jede Tragplatte (3) ist als Schichtstapel aus mehreren jeweils flächig miteinander verklebten Schichten (5) ausgebildet, von denen wenigstens drei Schichten als Brettholzschicht oder/und Holzspanplatte ausgebildet sind. Eine solche Gebäudetrennwand hat insbesondere bei tiefen Frequenzen von weniger als 50 Hz verbesserte Werte der Schalldurchgangsdämpfung. Darüber hinaus kann eine solche Gebäudetrennwand mit Hilfe temporärer Abstandhalter (15, 17, 23) sowie temporärer Befestigungsmittel (37, 41) zu einer als solcher transportablen Baueinheit temporär vereinigt werden, was die Montage der Gebäudetrennwand erleichtert.
