    摘要: The present invention relates to process for forming a container by stretching and blow-molding a preform within a mold cavity comprising the steps of:

    (i) introducing a preform into the mold cavity and stretching the preform with a stretch rod;
    (ii) increasing the pressure within the preform so that the preform expands within the mold cavity in a blowing step;
    (iii) at least one inwardly moving mold section within the mold cavity so that the expanding preform is deformed by the inwardly moving mold section;

    wherein the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the preform material is at least 10°C below the temperature of the walls of the mold cavity.
    The present invention further relates to a stretch blow molded container comprising walls of a thermoplastic polyolefin, the thermoplastic polyolefin having a glass transition temperature of less than 30°C and wherein the container has a degree of asymmetry of at least 1.5.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing tubular containers (23) with an open filling opening (3) and with an end that is provided with a seal. The inventive method comprises the following steps: separately producing a preform (1) with a neck (4) with definitive dimensions and a tubular body (2) with smaller dimensions than the definitive form, said tubular body containing the open filling opening (3); fixing the preform (1) that is produced to a drawing head (9b) by its neck (4) and subjecting it to at least one partial heating process; introducing the heated preform (1) that is attached to the drawing head into the inside of a multi-part closed blow mould (16a, 16b) in such a way that the open filling opening (3) is air-tightly held at the lower end of the blow mould (16a, 16b); fitting a blow nozzle (17) to the filling opening (3) of the preform (1) in a sealed manner, from the outside, in such a way that the end is held tightly between the blow mould and the blow nozzle with the flange (6); axially drawing the preform (1) by means of the drawing head (9b) into the end position of said drawing head, in which it forms part of the blow mould (16a, 16b), by supplying blowing air to the inside of the preform (1) in order to expand the same; hardening the drawn and blown container, which rests against the wall of the blow mould (16a, 16b) and has its final dimensions, while maintaining a predetermined internal pressure inside the container; reducing the internal pressure to atmospheric pressure; opening the blow mould and removing the finished container using the drawing head and cutting down the container and removing it from the drawing head.

    摘要: A dunnage platform is in the general shape of a rectangular slab with legs (20-28) extending form one side. The dunnage platform is made from an expanded polystyrene core (10). A chemical combination process is used to chemically combine portion of the core proximal to its surface with high impact polystyrene. In a first of two parts of the combination process, the core is placed in a forming mold (50) with one of its two sides and two thirds of its thickness extending therefrom. A heated sheet (67) of high impact polystyrene is brought into contact with the portion of the core extending from the mold. In a similar manner, the other of the two sides of the core is made to extend from the forming mold for contact with a heated sheet of high impact polystyrene.
