The invention relates to a surface decoration for a covering part, especially for an inner trim part in a motor vehicle, partially formed by a cast skin (4). The surface decoration consists of a decorative insert (5) whose edge (6) is adjacent to an area of the surface decoration formed by said cast skin (6). The edge (6) of the decorative insert (5) is enclosed by the cast skin (4). The invention also relates to a method for the production of a corresponding surface decoration and to a casting tool for the production of said surface decoration. According to the invention, highly esthetic trim parts can be produced in a highly simple manner.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines hinterschäumten Bauteils (2), insbesondere eines Innenraumverkleidungsteils eines Kraftfahrzeugs. Hierbei wird ein Stoffbahnabschnitt (11), der beim fertigen Bauteil (2) eine Außenhaut des Bauteils (2) bildet, an einer Innenseite (18) eines Tragrahmens (8) befestigt, der beim fertigen Bauteil (2) mit einer Außenseite (13) zur Anbringung des Bauteils (2) an einer Tragstruktur dient. In einem Formwerkzeug (1), dessen Innenkontur (5) einen Hohlraum ausbildet und in dem der Tragrahmen (8) mit an der Innenkontur (5) anliegender Außenseite (13) angeordnet ist, wird der Stoffbahnabschnitt (11) so ausgeschäumt, dass er an der Innenkontur (5) zur Anlage kommt.
