    摘要: A device (200) for constraining rotational motion of an actuator such as a seat actuator during a dynamic event. The device (200) includes a first part (212) attachable to a fixed frame member and carrying a first clip (220), and a second part (214) attachable to an actuator and carrying a second clip (224). Prior to and following a dynamic event sufficient to cause actuator rotational motion the first clip (220) and the second clip (224) are disengaged. During the dynamic event the second clip (224) is configured to engage the first clip (220) to momentarily stop rotational motion of the actuator such that load on the actuator passes through the actuator shaft into the frame. In embodiments, the device is configured to minimize actuator deformation during a dynamic event while allowing a full range of standard motion during normal use of the actuator.

    摘要: An actuator control system for an assembly including moveable components such as a passenger seat. The system includes a first motor (102) having a first rotating shaft (104), a second motor (106) having a second rotating shaft (108), and a plurality of gear assemblies (114) including a gear disposed between the shafts. A controller (112) operates to move each gear independently between a neutral position and a rotationally engaged position with one of the rotating shafts. Each gear is coupled to a flexible shaft rotationally coupled to an actuator for moving the moveable component. In use, a singular controller and the two motors control N number of actuators. Each flexible shaft may be further coupled to a variable speed controller including a toroidal drive mechanism.
