The invention relates to a safety belt winder comprising a belt shaft (11) and a force limitation system operating in a multi-stage manner and comprising a torque rod to be coupled in various free clamping lengths by means of a switch device. Said safety belt winder is characterised in that a two-stage torque rod is provided with a pyrotechnic switch device and a ratchet wheel (16) is connected to the belt shaft (11) by means of a reducing gear system. Said ratchet wheel (16) comprises, over one part of its circumference, a toothed wheel work (20) for engaging in the reducing gear system (15), and over another part of its circumference, a switch contour (21) which is adjacent to a contact pin (25) of an electric switch (17) connected to the switch device for the torsion rod. Said switch contour (21) has a course which leads to the connection or disconnection of the switch device for the torsion rod.

The object is to more effectively and more reliably prevent a seat belt from being biased when the seat belt is rapidly drawn and is rapidly wound in case of an emergency such as a vehicle collision. Multiple ribs (5) are formed in an inclined manner in a sliding portion (4b) for a seat belt (3). The inclination angle θ 1 of the ribs (5) is set to be larger than the inclination angle θ b of the traveling direction of the seat belt (3) through a guide hole (4a). Therefore, when the seat belt (3) is rapidly wound by the actuation of a pretensioner in case of an emergency such as a vehicle collision, it is inhibited from moving toward a vehicle-front side end of the guide hole (4a), by a reactive force produced by the friction at vehicle-rear side ends (5a) of the ribs (5). This makes it possible to more effectively and more reliably prevent the seat belt (3) from being biased to the vehicle front side when being rapidly wound by the actuation of the pretensioner.
