An object of the present invention is to provide a method of joining sheet members (1,2) together, which enables two sheets (1,2) to be joined while conveying these sheets (1,2) and reduces a cause of product inferiors as much as possible. The method of joining sheet members (1,2) includes: bonding an end of a new sheet member (2) to a surface of a preceding sheet member (1) through an adhesive material (3) to form a joined part; and cutting the preceding sheet member (1) at a position rearward of the joined part to join the preceding sheet member (1) with a new sheet member (2), wherein the preceding sheet member (1) is secured to the new sheet (2) at a position (5) rearward of the joined part.
