The transfer assembly comprises a frame defining a first rotation axis and a transfer member comprising a transfer surface configured to receive one of the discrete articles. The method comprises rotating the transfer member of the transfer assembly about the first rotation axis at a substantially constant angular velocity, maintaining the transfer surface at a substantially constant minimum distance away from a surface of the head at a point of discrete article transfer, and rotating the head of the apparatus about a second rotation axis at a plurality of angular velocities. A first angular velocity of the head is substantially constant at the point of discrete article transfer.

The bonder apparatus may rotate about an axis of rotation and include a support surface between each of a first and a second member. The first member may receive a leading portion and second member may receive a trailing portion of the substrate assembly and each member may rotate at the first velocity. The invention relates to a method for dispatching flat flexible products, especially printing products (9), stored in a stack. According to said method, a suctioning element (2) is used to fold the front edge section (31) of each individual product in a downward direction away from the underside of the stack of products (8), whereupon said individual products are dispatched by a gripper (3) which grasps the front edge section thereof. The direction in which the gripper (3) moves in the underside region of the stack (8) of the products extends essentially from the front edge section to the rear edge section of the products (9) located in the stack. Once each individual product (9) has been folded by the suctioning element (2), the suctioning element (2) is used to transfer said products directly to a gripper (3), whereby each individual product (9) is continuously maintained by the suctioning element (2) or the gripper (3) during the folding operation and dispatching occurs immediately thereafter. The invention also relates to a device for implementing said method.
