A low-viscosity cement composition, useful for use in the sector of oil drilling, contains cement, water and an additive obtained by salifying, into the alkali-metal, alkali-earth metal, or ammonium, salts, the sulphonated and oxidated products deriving from the reaction between sulphur trioxide and cokery tar, or fuel oil from steam cracking. Such a cement composition is endowed with improved rheological characteristics, and, in particular, with a low viscosity value, without any substantial changes in the pumping times, even at high temperatures and pressures.

The invention relates to aircraft flap monitoring. More specifically, the invention relates to a dynamometric rod which is intended to form a pivot for fixing a wing flap, said dynamometric rod comprising a cylindrical body (10) with a hexagonal head (12) and a threaded end-piece (14). The dimensions and other characteristics of the body (10), head (12) and end-piece (14) correspond to those of pivots normally used for fixing said wing flaps. The aforementioned body (10) is provided with a groove (16) which can be provided with a small depth of several tenths of a millimetre and which forms a simple gap which prevents contact between a branch of a clamp or an arm of the flap and the rod at the groove (16). In addition, a sensitive element (18) is positioned at the groove and is very tightly sealed closed. The invention is suitable for aircraft flaps.

The method comprises the steps of entering the lost circulation zone, determining a lost circulation volumetric flow rate, metering a first amount of a binder into the drilling mud to create a binder containing mud, pumping the binder containing drilling mud into the wellbore, and suspending metering of the first amount of the binder to the drilling mud after a pre-defined regulating period of time effective to permit the binder containing drilling mud to create a gel-based LCM operable to alter the lost circulation zone.

A method of cementing in a subterranean formation comprising the steps of: (A) introducing a cement composition into the subterranean formation, the cement composition comprising: (i) cement; (ii) water; and (iii) a high-density additive selected from the group consisting of silicon carbide, sintered bauxite, and any combination thereof, wherein the cement composition has a density of at least 16 pounds per gallon; and (B) allowing the cement composition to set. According to an embodiment, the high-density additive is in a concentration of at least 30% by weight of the cement. A cement composition for use in an oil or gas well comprises: (A) cement; (B) water; and (C) a high-density additive selected from the group consisting of silicon carbide, sintered bauxite, and a combination thereof, wherein the high-density additive is in a concentration of at least 30% by weight of the cement, and wherein the cement composition has a density of at least 16 pounds per gallon.
