Abstract:
- The invention relates to an installation and a method for treating a waste mixture (2), said waste having different sizes, shapes and consistencies, the treatment method being characterized in that it comprises the following successive steps: - Step E1, during which the waste mixture (2) is separated into a first waste fraction (13), the size of which is less than around 180 mm, preferably less than 140 mm, by way of a first set of separating orifices (7, 8) and a second, residual waste fraction (14), said first set of separating orifices (7, 8) comprising primary orifices (7) and secondary orifices (8), the size of which is greater than the size of the primary orifices (7), such that the waste mixture (2) is first of all brought into contact with the secondary orifices and then with the primary orifices (7), - Step E2, during which the first waste fraction (13) is subjected to a composting process so as to at least partially compost the biodegradable waste contained therein.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for upgrading substrates, comprising: A. introducing (110) volumes of substrates (10) into strainers (20), B. humidifying (120) a volume in order to hydrolyse the organic constituents thereof, C. injecting (140) the leachate from the humidified volume into an anaerobic digester (30), D. sending a portion of the liquid from the digester back into a strainer for step B, and E. repeating steps B to D. The method is characterised in that all of the leachate is injected directly into the digester, and in that, beyond a threshold time value, the method further comprises: F. performing aerobic fermentation (181) of the volume of substrates in the strainer; and G. performing aerobic maturation (182) of the volume of substrates in another aerobic location (50) in order to obtain a stabilised compost, lower than a maximum threshold value and/or higher than a minimum threshold value.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ecotechnical installation for producing cultivation substrates, soil amendments, and organic fertilizers having properties of anthropogenic terra preta soil as well as a method for producing cultivation substrates, soil amendments, or organic fertilizers having properties of anthropogenic terra preta soil. The invention further relates to the use of said method or installation for utilizing unpolluted organic biomasses, biowaste, dirty water and sewage, mineral substances for generating current and/or heat and/or producing cultivation substrates having properties of anthropogenic terra preta soil. The invention finally relates to a circulation installation allowing a sustainable material flow management in order to utilize unpolluted organic biomasses, biowaste, mineral substances, etc. for generating current and heat and producing industrial water and cultivation substrates, soil amendments, or organic fertilizers.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the invention, a system (100) for processing biomass includes a water-impermeable bottom liner, a gravel layer (104) supported by the bottom liner (102), a drain pipe (106) disposed within the gravel layer (104), a biomass input device (108) operable to deliver biomass over the gravel layer (104) to form a biomass pile, a lime input device (110) operable to deliver lime to the biomass for pretreating the biomass, a distribution pipe (114) elevated above the gravel layer (104), and a pump (116) operable to circulate water through the biomass pile by delivering water to the distribution pipe (114) and receiving water from the drain pipe (106) after it has traveled through the biomass pile. According to another embodiment, a method for biomass pretreatment with alkali, conducted at ambient pressure for approximately 4-16 weeks at temperatures ranging from approximately 25°C to 95°C. Biomass may be lignocellulosic biomass and may be rendered suitable for enzymatic digestion or pulp production.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for the treatment of composting materials in which the aqueous liquids are arranged such that they are to be held at a level which is lower than any one or more of the gaseous outlets effecting gaseous distribution below the composting materials.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an manufacturing method of organic fertilizer of the present invention, wherein moisturized organic wastes and microbe, which decomposed organic materials so as to compost, are mixedly contained in a container (3) which can be sealed but also freely opened and closed, the container (3) is heated as well as decompressed by closing the container (3), the boiling point of water in the container (3) is set below the fermentation heat of the organic wastes caused by the microbe in decomposing the organic materials, and the moisture in the organic wastes in the container (3) ins vaporized and exhausted, whereby an organic fertilizer is manufactured by the decomposition of the organic materials. Thereby, a technique where the process to manufacture the organic fertilizer from organic wastes is efficiently conducted in a short period of time is provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing a mixture of substances containing structural components and organic components, in addition to a device for carrying out said method. According to the invention, the mixture of substances is impinged upon with a force in a periodic or pulsed manner to avoid the formation of flow channels for a washing liquid or process air in a heap of debris.
