Composition destinée à être utilisée dans la préparation d'un agent de contraste pour la mise en image des os, comprenant un mélange d'un acide bis-phosphonique de formule (I) où R1 est H et R2 est -COOH ou (II), ou R1 est -NMe2 et R2 est -CH2OH, ou un sel non toxique relatif, avec un agent réducteur pour le pertechnétate. Du technétium-99m, sous forme d'une solution aqueuse d'ions pertechnétate, est ajouté à la composition pour former un complexe de Tc-99m et le bis-phosphonate. Ce complexe est utile en tant qu'agent de contraste pour la mise en image des os et est absorbé rapidement par les os, produisant des images de haute définition.

The invention relates to a method for collecting metals from a solution, in which method solid insoluble or sparingly soluble bisphoshonate of formula (I) is mixed with the solution, whereby metals possibly present in the solution react with the bisphosphonate, and the bisphosphonate together with the metals reacted with it is separated from the solution. The method can be used for collecting metals e.g. from waste water or from household water.

The invention relates to novel methylene bisphosphonic acid derivatives carrying a styrene group attached to the methylene carbon. The novel compounds are useful e.g. for functionalizing polymers of styrene type, especially macroporous styrene polymers, by copolymerizing the novel derivative with styrene and optional crosslinking agents. The object of the present invention is a new group of methylenebisphosphonic acid derivatives of general formula (I).
