A process is disclosed for producing a sealable, self-crosslinking binder based on an aqueous dispersion of polymers which contains one or several monomers from the group of the vinyl esters of branched or unbranched alkylcarboxylic acids with 1 to 15 C atoms, which contain 0.1 to 5.0 % by weight, in relation to the polymer, of ethylenically unsaturated, crosslinking comonomers from the group of the N-alkylolamides and N-alkoxyalkylamides of ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids and N-methylolallylcarbamate, by radical polymerisation according to the emulsion polymerisation process. This process is characterised in that the ethylenically unsaturated crosslinking comonomers are only added after 50 to 99.5 % by weight of the non-crosslinking comonomers have been already added to the polymerisation formulation. The product obtained by this process is suitable as binder for woven or nonwoven flat textile structures made of natural or synthetic fibers.

These radiopaque polymer compositions include shape memory polymer compositions comprising a crosslinked polymer network, the network comprising a first repeating unit derived from a monofunctional iodinated monomer and a second repeating unit derived from a multifunctional non-iodinated monomer wherein neither of the two monomers is fluorinated. Devices formed from radiopaque polymer compositions are also provided.
