A process for increasing the yields of light olefins or shifting to increase the hydrocarbon components to gasoline blending pools from a hydrocarbon feedstock is presented. The process includes separating a naphtha feedstock to components to a first stream that are more readily processed in a cracking unit and to components in a second stream that are more readily processed in a reforming unit. The process includes the ability to convert components from the cracking stream to the reforming stream, and to convert components from the reforming stream to the cracking stream.

The method comprises the following steps: fractionation of the paraffinic product from a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis into at least three fractions, one intermediate fraction boiling between T1 and T2, with T1 between 120 and 200 °C and T2 greater than 300 °C and less than 410 °C, a light fraction with a lower boiling point and a heavy fraction with a higher boiling point; the intermediate fraction is at least partly hydrotreated, then at least partly passed over an amorphous hydroisomerisation/hydrocracking catalyst; the heavy fraction is passed over an amorphous hydroisomerisation/hydrocracking catalyst with a conversion of products boiling at 370 °C+ into products boiling at less than 370 °C of greater than 80 % by weight; and distillation of products from hydrocracking/hydroisomerisation to give medium distillates (kerosene, diesel). An installation is also disclosed.

A process for producing light olefins and aromatics, which comprises reacting a feedstock by contacting with a catalytic cracking catalyst in at least two reaction zones, wherein the reaction temperature of at least one reaction zone among the reaction zones downstream of the first reaction zone is higher than that of the first reaction zone and its weight hourly space velocity is lower than that of the first reaction zone, separating the spent catalyst from the reaction product vapor, regenerating the separated spent catalyst and returning the regenerated catalyst to the reactor, and separating the reaction product vapor to obtain the desired products, light olefins and aromatics. This process produces maximum light olefins such as propylene, ethylene, etc from heavy feedstocks, wherein the yield of propylene exceeds 20% by weight, and produces aromatics such as toluene, xylene, etc at the same time.

We provide an extracted conjunct polymer naphtha (45), comprising a hydrogenated conjunct polymer naphtha, from a used ionic liquid catalyst, having a final boiling point less than 246° C. (475° F.), a Bromine Number of 5 or less, and at least 30 wt % naphthenes. We also provide a blended alkylate gasoline (97) comprising the extracted conjunct polymer naphtha (45), and integrated alkylation processes to make the extracted conjunct polymer naphtha (45) and the blended alkylate gasoline (97). We also provide a method to analyze alkylate products, by determining an amount of methylcyclohexane in the alkylate products (80).
