Abstract:
A heat transfer fluid composition comprising a polyalkylene glycol initiated by a hydric initiator having a functionality of at least 1 and extended with ethylene oxide, wherein the polyalkylene glycol comprises at least 30 percent by weight ethylene oxide and having a volumetric heat capacity at 100° C. of at least 2.0 J/cm3-K; and an additive package which comprises an acid scavenger, wherein the acid scavenger is an aspartic acid, aspartic acid amide, a Group V aspartic acid salt, their derivatives, or a combination thereof is provided. Also provided are such fluids which meet the bio-no-tox criteria of European Community directive EC/1999/45 (as amended by EC/2006/8). Further provided are monofluid-type engine lubricating and cooling fluids comprising such heat transfer fluid.
Abstract:
The invention provides a refrigerator oil composition comprising a base oil of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, and containing (a) a partial ester of a polyalcohol and a fatty acid and (b) an acid phosphate or its amine salt; and a refrigerator oil composition comprising a base oil of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, and containing any of (a) acid phosphates or their amine salts, (b) acetylene glycol alkylene oxide adducts, (c) potassium salts of fatty acids, etc., (d) organic acids, and (e) fatty acid amides. The refrigerator oil compositions have good lubricity and are especially effective for reducing the friction in both the oil region and the extreme-pressure region in the sliding area between aluminium materials and steel materials.
Abstract:
A composition for use in compression refrigeration comprising: (A) a refrigerant containing a C1-C8 hydrocarbon as the principal ingredient, and (C) a lubrication base oil whose primary component is a specified polyalkylene glycol derivative having a kinematic viscosity of 5-200 mm 2 /s at 100°C; and a method for lubricating compression refrigerators making use of the composition. The composition and the method of the invention achieve improved antiabrasion and stable operation due to efficient lubrication, and as a result, enhanced lubrication performance and sealing effect, as well as improved refrigeration performance can be attained.
Abstract:
The invention provides a refrigerator oil composition comprising as a base oil at least one oxygen-containing synthetic oil, and containing (a) at least one organic acid of the following formula (XXXIV):
wherein R 71 represents an alkyl group having from 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or an alkenyl group having from 6 to 30 carbon atoms; R 72 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and m represents an integer of from 1 to 4, or (b) at least one fatty acid amide, wherein the oxygen-containing synthetic oil is a polyalkylene glycol. The refrigerator oil composition has good lubricity and is especially effective for reducing the friction in both the oil region and the extreme pressure region in the sliding area between the aluminium materials and the steel materials.
