A fiber comprising polyethylene-2,5-furan-dicarboxylate, is prepared by melt spinning in a process wherein a molten composition comprising polyethylene-2,5-furan-dicarboxylate having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.55 dl/g, determined in dichloroacetic acid at 25° C., is passed through one or more spinning openings to yield molten threads; wherein the molten threads are cooled to below the melting temperature of the composition to yield spun fibers; and wherein the spun fibers are drawn to a linear density in the range of 0.05 to 2.0 tex per fiber. The invention also proves a fiber comprising polyethylene-2,5-furan-dicarboxylate having a linear density of 0.05 to 2.0 tex, wherein the polyethylene-2,5-furan-dicarboxylate has an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.45 dl/g, determined in dichloroacetic acid at 25° C.

A low chromatic aberration polyester different-shrinkage composite yarn is made of polyester POY yarn and polyester FDY composite yarn. The polyester POY yarn and polyester FDY yarn is obtained by spinning the polyester solution, the rupture strength of the low color polyester different-shrinkage composite yarn is ≥1.9 cN / dtex, the elongation at break is 30.0 ± 5.0%, the crimp shrinkage is 2.50 ± 3.0%, the network degree is 20 ± 5 / m, the color difference ΔE is less than 0.200. In the invention, the magnesium ethylene glycol is relatively mild, the thermal degradation coefficient is small, the oligomers in the polymerization process is reduced, and the oligomers in the dissolution process are further reduced, so that the appearance of stains and streaks reduces during the dyeing and post-processing heat setting of the polyester fiber, which ensures the fiber's leveling and rubbing fastness.

Flame retardant 2-carboxyethylphenylphosphinic acid to improve the flame retardant properties of polyester, the use of polyester containing unsaturated double bond in UV irradiation, the double bond opens to form a crosslinking point, the formation of a certain amount of the network structure improves the heat-resistant temperature of the poly-fiber and improves the anti-dripping performance of the polyester fiber.

Disclosed are a blood filter which exhibits excellent leukocyte elimination performance as well as significantly improved blood throughput per unit time and erythrocyte recovery rate and a method of manufacturing the same. The blood filter of the present invention includes a pre-treatment filter which is a laminate of first non-woven fabrics having a mean fiber diameter of 5 to 30 µm and a mean pore size of 10 to 30 µm, and a main filter which is a laminate of second non-woven fabrics having a mean fiber diameter of 1 to 5 µm, a mean pore size of 5 to 10 µm and a mean pore size distribution rate of 30% or more. A filling density of the pre-treatment filter and a filling density of the main filter, with respect to a target blood throughput of the blood filter, are 0.1 g/100 ml to 1 g/100 ml and 1 g/100 ml to 3 g/100 ml, respectively.

The present invention relates to an odor control material consisting of a water-insoluble particulate odor control agent and a thermoplastic water-soluble carrier matrix encapsulating the odor control agent. The carrier matrix dissolves when in contact with an aqueous solution, such as urine and the odor control material is obtained by means of thermoforming. The invention relates also to a method for the preparation of the odor control material and the use of the odor control material in absorbent products. The present odor control material minimizes dusting problems caused by particulate odor control agents in production processes.

A poly(phenylene sulfide) fiber containing 1-10% by weight of a poly(phenylene sulfide) oligomer having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000 or less, having a difference between a cold crystallization heat quantity (ΔHc) and a crystal melting heat quantity (ΔHm) during temperature rising in DSC, ΔHm-ΔHc, of 25 J/g or larger, and having an elongation of less than 40% and a strength of 3.0 cN/dtex or higher. The present invention provides a poly(phenylene sulfide) fiber which has high heat resistance and chemical resistance and which has high strength and, despite this, has excellent suitability for high-order processing, e.g., thermal shapability, because the amorphous parts thereof have high molecular movability.

The present invention relates to a monofilament with a segmented pie structure formed by conjugated spinning of degradable polymers and non-degradable polymers, a hernia mesh having improved flexibility and biocompatibility, and a preparation method thereof. More specifically, the hernia mesh of the present invention having improved flexibility and biocompatibility is prepared using the monofilament obtained by conjugated spinning of degradable polymers and non-degradable polymers into a segmented pie form, to control it to be gradually degraded in the body, whereby the stiffness of the early stage is removed, and thereby the foreign body sensation is also removed.
