Abstract:
The invention relates to a printing thickening agent for reactive printing, containing at least one starch in a quantity of at least 50 % by weight in relation to the total weight of the printing thickening agent. According to the invention, the starch has a DS value of between 0.2 and 0.6 and is cross-linked using between 0.05 and 0.50 % by volume of a cross-linking agent. The invention also relates to the use of said agent.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a soft, tinted lens is described. The process comprises the steps of softening and tinting a xerogel lens (1), wherein the softening and the tinting are achieved by immersing the xerogel lens (1) in a single solution (5) capable of softening and tinting the xerogel lens (1).
Abstract:
A contact lens colorant formulation containing a non-ionic polyalkylene oxide surfactant is applied to a dry hydrophilic contact lens by means of a silicon rubber printing pad to provide a cosmetically acceptable, solid, unblemished covering. This process allows for a solid covering to be placed onto the lens in a single printing step using standard transfer printing devices.
Abstract:
An improvement in a process for preparing a contact lens tinted over at least a portion of its surface, having the steps of forming a tinting solution having a reactive dyestuff and applying the tinting solution to a polymeric hydrogel contact lens material, wherein the improvement comprises adding an effective amount of an ammonium quaternary salt to the tinting solution before the applying step.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention provides a process for tanning a substrate using at least one ionic liquid. The at least one ionic liquid can be used in at least one of the following tanning steps: tanning, re-tanning, preservation, liming, pickling, impregnation, lubrication, dyeing, fatliquoring or finishing.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a reactive dye ink exhibiting excellent ejection stability when used in a printer having an inkjet head for commercial use which requires a high-viscosity ink. The reactive dye ink has excellent storage stability and excellent fixability to textiles. Specifically disclosed is an ink composition containing at least one reactive dye serving as a coloring matter, which also contains water and a compound represented by formula (1) and having an average molecular weight of 340-2,200. (1)
[In the formula, X 1 , X 2 , X 3 and X 4 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and the sum of j, k, m and n is a number not less than 4 but not more than 40.]
