Abstract:
An article of footwear has an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The upper includes a knitted component and, in some configurations, a skin layer secured to the exterior surface of the knitted component. The knitted component may an asymmetric interior layer secured to the interior surface of the knitted component. The asymmetric interior layer has varying medial and lateral portions that provide for different amounts of feel and cushioning along the varying sides of the upper. The asymmetric interior layer includes a lining layer and a connecting layer that join to form the asymmetric interior layer. Other interior layer features are provided, including collar portions and a heel pad that extends along the heel region of the knitted component from a sockliner to an opening on an ankle cuff of the knitted component.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a greenhouse screen comprising strips of film material that are interconnected by a yarn system by means of hosiery, knitting, warp-knitting or weaving process to form a continuous product. At least some of the strips comprise a film material in the form of a multilayer polyester film having a thickness less than 60 μm and comprising at least two layers, wherein at least one layer is white and at least one layer is black, the at least one white layer comprises polyester and a white pigment in an amount between 5 and 50 weight-% based on the total weight of the white layer, and the at least one black layer comprises polyester and a black opacifying agent.
Abstract:
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides an upper for an article of footwear. The upper may include a knitted component with a knit element defining a portion of at least one of an exterior surface of the upper and an opposite interior surface of the upper, the interior surface defining a void. The knitted component may further include a tongue, where the tongue extends through a throat area of the upper, and where the tongue comprises a lateral edge and a medial edge. The knitted component may further include at least one raised element extending a height above the exterior surface of the knit element and extending a length along at least one of the lateral edge and the medial edge of the tongue, where the tongue and the at least one raised element have a common yarn.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an actively light-emitting safety element, which comprises a side-emitting optical fiber (1), connected by at least one of it ends to a source of light. At least the radiating surface of the optical fiber (1) is embedded in a textile sheath (10), whereby the light emitted by the source of light is radiated by the optical fiber (1) into the surrounding environment through the textile sheath (10).
Abstract:
A jacket for a load-bearing, lengthy body, wherein the jacket is comprised of a plurality of braid elements which, when braided, enclose at least a portion of the lengthy body, and wherein the braid element is comprised of a braided ribbon. A method of forming the jacket is also described.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing textile fabrics (1) with functional threads (2) arranged therein, the functional threads (2) being laid in the rows (3) or wales of stitches without forming stitches during the wearing or knitting process. The invention also relates to a textile fabric (1) produced by the said method and to a luminaire comprising this textile fabric.
Abstract:
Abstract:
This invention relates to a screen manufactured according to a weaving or knitting process comprising a number of screen elements (1) which, in an operational position, may be installed at respective intermediate distances away from one another, these intermediate distances being changeable - for instance, by the use of elastic threads or bands - in order to adjust the degree of screening of the screen. According to this invention, the screen elements (1) extend according to the direction of production (P) of the screen. A method for carrying out a climatization in a space, such as, for instance, a greenhouse in which plants are cultivated, at least the air humidity and/or the air circulation and/or the concentration of CO 2 in that space being regulated, by adjusting the intermediate distances between the different screen elements (1) of a screen covering this space at least partly. A similar regulation occurs in a very simple and efficient manner, without any harmful effects to the plants
Abstract:
A knitted textile fabric containing integrated fluid-carrying tubes is fabricated of yarn formed into interlooped stitches arranged in longitudinal wales and transverse courses throughout the fabric structure, with plural elongate hollow tubular segments integrated with the yarn into the fabric structure and spaced essentially in parallel relation to one another. The fabric structure is preferably warp knitted, one embodiment of which has the tubular segments extending longitudinally in selected spaced wales and another embodiment of which has the tubular segments extending coursewise in selected spaced courses.
