An architectural cladding kit; and a method of preparing architectural masonry slips for subsequent attachment to a substrate employs a plurality of joint brackets having a base and two free ends. The joint brackets engage with a plurality of substantially rectangular masonry slips, each slip including an outer face; an inner face; two oppositely directed edge faces; and a slot formed in each edge face. The joint bracket is attachable to a substrate such as a building structure. Each joint bracket free end is adapted for engagement within the slot formed in an edge face of two opposed masonry slips which are attached to the substrate by an adhesive. The joint brackets ensures that the masonry slips cannot fall even if the adhesive connection were to fail.

A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid including a plurality of downward facing grid faces and an array of rectilinear grid openings. A plurality of grid-concealment ceiling panels are disposed in the grid openings and arranged diagonally such that corners of the panels are disposed proximate to mating corners of diagonally adjacent panels. Each panel includes peripheral edge portions which extend beneath and at least partially conceal grid faces surrounding the grid opening in which each panel is mounted. In one embodiment, the grid faces are completely concealed. Mating corners of ceiling panels meet at mutually configured chamfered corner surfaces which lie at cruciform intersections between the grid faces. The ceiling panels are arranged in diagonal rows in the support grid. Diagonal rows of filler ceiling panels are provided between diagonal rows of grid-concealment ceiling panels.

The invention refers to a method for applying heat resistant protection components onto the surface of a heat exposed component. The method comprises: - providing at least two separate heat protection components (2), - joining the at least two separate heat protection components (2) onto their top surface and/or bottom surface and/or at least one side surface by flexible means (1, 4) for obtaining an integrally handable entity, and - fixing the integrally handable entity by applying and brazing the surface (5) of each heat protection component (2) on the surface of the heat exposed component. The materials of the flexible means (1, 4) and for joining the flexible means on said separate heat protection components (2) are selected such that the materials withstand brazing being performed under protective atmosphere, i.e. an atmosphere without or with reduced amount of oxygen, at process temperatures between 700 °C and 1200°C, and that the materials are burned out after brazing during a following oxidizing thermal step.
