    摘要: A child-resistant handle (10) is to be mounted to a valve stem (12) to which is affixed a cogwheel adapter (20) by a shoulder screw (86). The shoulder screw (86) rotatably mounts a freely rotatable handle (38) to the valve stem (12). The handle (38) has an inverted cup shape that extends over and covers the cogwheel adapter (20). A clutch member (60) is connected to the handle (38) with a resilient member (58) engaging the clutch (60) to keep the clutch member (60) normally out of engagement with the cogwheel adapter (20). The clutch member (60) is linearly shiftable to engage the cogwheel adapter (20) whereby rotation of the handle (38) will cause a like rotation of the valve stem (12).
