The emitter head has tapered passageways terminating at an end from which lubricant drops are directed to a target to be lubricated. The emitter head can be incorporated in lubricator systems of various types, including those utilizing a cycling feed metering system. A nozzle constructed in accordance with the present invention can be used in reduced airflow systems and exhibits substantially lessened lubricant loss during low and no airflow periods.

A lubricant dispensing system is provided. The dispensing system includes a lubricant supply, a lubricant dispensing nozzle and a control panel. The dispensing nozzle includes a nozzle body with a fluid passageway therein which is in fluid communication with the lubricant supply, an electrode assembly for electrostatically charging lubricant in the fluid passageway and at least one discharge orifice through which electrostatically charged lubricant can be discharged. The discharge orifice is defined by at least one spray needle having a first end in fluid communication with the fluid passageway and a second end that extends outward of the nozzle body. The control panel directs the flow of lubricant from the lubricant supply to the lubricant dispensing nozzle and controls the electric power supplied to the electrode assembly.

Dieser Beöler besteht aus einem äußeren Venturirohr 18 und einem inneren Venturirohr 16, wobei eine Zuführung 13 die Versorgung des inneren Venturirohrs 16 mit dem zuzumischenden Öl gewährleistet. Die Zuführung 13 ist über ein Drosselventil 30 und eine Steigleitung 29 mit dem Vorratsbehälter 28 des Beölers verbunden. Ein Regeleinsatz 20 ist in dem ringförmigen Querschnitt zwischen Innenrohr 16 und Strömungskanal 18 angebracht. Dieser weist insbesondere elastische Zungen auf, die bei geringeren Durchflußmengen der Luft den Kreisringquerschnitt weitgehend verschließen, so daß auch in diesem Betriebszustand gleichbleibend gute Vermischungsergebnisse des Öls mit der Luft im Innenrohr 16 gewährleistet sind.

Dargestellt und beschrieben ist eine Vorrichtung (10) zur Erzeugung eines feinen Ölnebels, insbesondere zur Schmierung von Werkzeugen bei der Zerspanung, umfassend eine Zerstäuberkammer (11), in die eine Öl und Luft unter Druck führende Zuleitung (14) mündet, eine innerhalb der Zerstäuberkammer (11) angeordnete Zerstäuberdüse (15) am Ende der Zuleitung (14) und eine Ausgangsleitung für den Transport des in der Kammer erzeugten Aerosols zum Ort seiner Applikation. Um eine Verbesserung der Ölnebelerzeugung zu erreichen, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Zerstäuberkammer (11) an einer von der Zerstäuberdüse (15) entfernten Stelle eine Verbindung zu einer zweiten Kammer (12) aufweist und daß die Ausgangsleitung (17) in die zweite Kammer hineingeführt ist und sich annähernd über deren gesamte Länge hinwegerstreckt. Hiermit läßt sich ein Ölnebel mit darin äußerst fein und homogen verteilten Ölpartikeln erzeugen.

A flow sensor of the disc type for a compressed air lubricator comprises a flexible elastomeric disc (15) having a pair of radial channels (19, 19' and 20, 20') formed in each of its major surfaces. The channels afford lines of weakness which enable the disc (15) readily and progressively to deform into a fluted cone-like configuration as the air flow rate through the lubricator increases, thereby increasing the potential air flow capacity of the lubricator compared to those including known designs of disc type flow sensor (Fig 5).

The pyramids (14) retro-reflect light when interfaced with air but transmit it to the brightly coloured wall (5) from which it is reflected back through the window (12) when interfaced with liquid (23). An image comprising a brightly coloured band and a colourless band therefore appears in the window (12), the readily visible interface between the bands corresponding to the level (24) of the liquid (23) in the bowl(1).
