A geothermal in-ground conduit system and a method of constructing and installing same are described. The system comprises at least one loop of flexible tubing adapted to convect a heat exchange liquid therein. The loop has a lower end section and opposed spaced-apart elongated side sections communicating with one another. The lower end section is retained in a soil penetrating head. The soil penetrating head has a leading soil penetrating and ramming face formation. A force transmitting shaft is engageable with the soil penetrating head for transmitting a pushing force against the soil penetrating head to displace same in the soil while pulling the loop and guiding the loop into the soil as the penetrating face forms passages for permanent burial of at least a major portion of the loop together with the soil penetrating head, or the soil penetrating head can be retracted.

Additional components of the grout mixture can include a mid-range water reducer and a dry caustic material. The thermally enhanced geothermal grout can comprise a class F fly ash in a range of between approximately 50 to 80% by weight of the grout and cement kiln dust in a range of between approximately 20 to 50% by weight of the grout mixture.

A process for producing power including injecting a first heat transfer fluid through an injection well to a geothermally-heated formation that contains a second heat transfer fluid. The first heat transfer fluid may then be heated via indirect heat exchange in an interwell run fluidly connected to the injection well and disposed within the geothermally-heated formation. The heated first heat transfer fluid may then be recovered through a production well fluidly connected to the interwell run. Thermal energy contained in the recovered heated first heat transfer fluid may then be converted in a power production unit fluidly connected to the injection well and the production well. The interwell run, in some embodiments, may include multiple heat exchange tubes disposed within a perforated casing or drill pipe.

The present invention relates to a ground circuit in a low-energy system, said ground circuit comprising a connection pipeline (3), collection pipe system (2) and a return pipeline (4) for circulating a transfer fluid. The ground circuit is utilized for transferring thermal energy recovered from its surroundings, for instance, to a heat pump (5) or the like. The present ground circuit collection pipe system (2) is characterized by consisting of a hollow profile (6) arranged to be a coil, whereby the hollow profile is connected at its first end to a connection pipeline (3) for conveying the transfer fluid along the hollow profile from the first coil end to the second, and at the second end of the coil the second end of the hollow profile is connected to the return pipeline (4) for conveying the transfer fluid from the hollow profile towards the place where used. At the opposite ends of this hollow profile there are advantageously arranged means for controlling the fluid flow provided therein.
