In the automotive pipe, at least the outer circumferential surface of the inner pipe portion facing the outer pipe portion is made of a resin, which is advantageous for corrosion resistance and weight reduction. A part of the inner pipe portion is surrounded by the outer pipe portion. This leads to elimination of necessity of a process of, for example, providing a protective cover at an appropriate location to protect the inner pipe portion, and improves workability while the number of components is restrained from increasing.

In accordance with the invention, this drainage pipe is used for the catchment and return of sea water and is installed in a horizontally positioned borehole that passes through a productive marine aquifer.
