    摘要: The invention provides a solar panel mounting system (1) for mounting one or more solar panels (P), the system comprising: at least one support device (2) for supporting the solar panel (P) thereon, and at least one flexible fastening member (15). The support device (2) comprises: a base (3) adapted to seat stably on a substantially flat rooftop surface (R), the base (3) having at least one recess (5) for receiving ballast (B) to stabilise the support device (2) on the surface (R); and a mounting frame (9) upstanding from the base (3) and integral therewith, the mounting frame (9) being configured to support the solar panel (P) such that said panel (P) slopes downwardly towards a front edge region (6) of the base (3). The flexible fastening member (15) is adapted to engage and to extend from the support device (2), and has an attachment portion (17) which is adapted to be secured to a rooftop surface (R). Typically, a plurality of the support devices (2) are arranged spaced apart and essentially parallel to one another side-by-side in one or more rows for receiving and supporting a solar panel (P) extending between adjacent pairs of the support devices (2). Furthermore, a flexible fastening member (15) preferably engages and extends from each of the front and rear edge regions (6, 7) of each support device (2).

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a solar thermal collector system that is particularly configured for installation on a flat roof of a building. In accordance with aspects of a particular embodiment of the invention, the solar thermal collector system includes a solar thermal collector module having a glazing sheet at a top, exterior surface, and an absorber sheet within the module positioned below and spaced apart from the glazing sheet. At least the absorber sheet is fluidly connected to a fluid handling system, and carries a working fluid that is heated in the module by the sun and transfers such heat to equipment connected to the module by the fluid handling system. The module is preferably provided a thermally actuated valve that allows the working fluid to also flow through the glazing sheet, which results in self-regulation of the temperature of the module below a critical design temperature.

    摘要: A photovoltaic (“PV”) array includes a plurality of interconnected PV modules. A PV array perimeter assembly may be positioned along the perimeter of the PV array to restrain horizontal movement of the array. For improved wind performance, the PV array perimeter assembly may include curbs that come with pre-attached flexible wind deflectors configured to prevent wind from penetrating underneath the PV array. The flexible wind deflectors may be made of a flexible membrane and may include water drainage holes to allow water to flow out of the PV array. The curbs do not necessarily have to be fixedly attached to a rooftop, and may include ballasts to prevent array movement. Embodiments of the invention may be employed on PV arrays installed on flat rooftops, and are especially advantageous when used on uneven roof surfaces.
