A fill sheet for cooling heat transfer fluid in a cooling tower includes an air intake end, an air outlet end, a top edge and a bottom edge. The air outlet end is positioned opposite the air intake end along a lateral axis. The top edge connects the air intake end and the air outlet end and the bottom edge also connects the air intake end and the air outlet end. The bottom edge is positioned opposite the top edge along a vertical axis. A plurality of flutes extends generally parallel to the lateral axis between the air intake end and the air outlet end. An offset extends generally parallel to the vertical axis. A first flute of the plurality of flutes transitions from a first peak at a first side of the offset to a first valley at a second side of the offset.

A heat exchanger plate includes a corrugated sheet of stiff material configured in a repetitive series of elongated corrugations. Each corrugation has a first corrugation segment, a second corrugation segment disposed offset from and extending parallel to the first corrugation segment and an intermediate corrugation segment. The first and second corrugation segments extend vertically. The intermediate corrugation segment is disposed between and interconnects the first corrugation segment and the second corrugation segment and extends obliquely relative to the first corrugation segment and the second corrugation segment to form a continuous, uninterrupted offset corrugation. A plurality of the heat exchanger plates are connected together to form a fill pack.

The insert element for inserting into a device for moistening, cleaning and/or cooling a fluid, in particular a gas, such as, for example, air is provided with an insert body (10) which can be wetted with liquid, in particular water, and through which a gas, in particular air, can flow and which has a flow inlet side and a flow outlet side and, between said sides, is provided with regions which can be wetted by the liquid and can be exposed to the fluid. The insert body (10) is of multi-layered design and has a multiplicity of corrugated plate elements (12) which bear against one another, are bounded by an edge (14, 16) and are provided with elevations and depressions. Plate elements (12) bearing in each case against one another are in contact by way of the elevations thereof. In at least one layer (13), the insert body (10) has a plurality of plate elements (12) which lie next to one another and the edges (14, 16) of which lie opposite one another. The opposite edges (14, 16) of in each case two plate elements (12) lying next to one another in the at least one layer (13) are covered by a plate element (12) of the adjacent layer (13) of the insert body (10).
摘要:
The present invention relates to a filling body, comprising a plurality of plastic foils, which are undulated, wherein a plastic foil has a plurality of connecting elements, by means of which a plastic foil can be connected to other plastic foils via a plurality of form-fitting connections. The filling body is configured such that two plastic foils are connected to a plastic foil pair, and plastic foil pairs are connected to other plastic foil pairs. According to the present invention, the connecting elements are positioned on the plastic foils such that upon joining two plastic foils to a plastic foil pair, the still unconnected connecting elements can be joined into connecting element pairs on the sides of the two plastic foils opposite of each other, wherein these connecting element pairs are distributed across the entire surface of the two foils. In subsequent joining processes of two plastic foil pairs to each other, the still unconnected connecting elements can be joined into connecting element pairs on the sides of the two plastic foil pairs opposite of each other, wherein these connecting element pairs are located exclusively in the vicinity of the edges of the two plastic foil pairs. This ensures that during the successive configuration of the filling body from the individual plastic foils substantially all connecting elements located on the plastic foils can be connected in pairs into form-fitting connections.
