Abstract:
The invention relates to a long-range optical instrument (10), a peripheral (20) and a method for enabling communication between the long-range optical instrument (10) and the peripheral (20). According to the invention, the long-range optical instrument comprises a near-field radio communication module (13, 113) for transmitting data, in particular in respect of the long-range optical instrument, to a peripheral (20), said near-field communication module (13, 113) making it possible to establish a communication link (30) with the peripheral (20).
Abstract:
An aiming system for portable weapons comprising pairs of inertial sensors of gyroscopic, accelerometer and magnetometric type arranged respectively on a weapon and on an helmet with Head Up Display, so as to determine both the relative orientation and the relative position in space of the weapon and of the helmet, with consequent display of the line of fire on the Head Up Display.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an automated aiming assistance towards a shooting target for a visually-challenged or blind person. The method of the present invention comprises: providing the shooting weapon (AR) used by the person with a camera (CAM) placed on the weapon for filming the target (CI) to be aimed at; identifying the target by shape recognition in the images shot by the camera; transmitting a signal received by the person (OR) for guiding the person for orienting the shooting weapon towards the target.
Abstract:
An apparatus for enabling a user to orient the aiming axis (12) of an aimable device (10) at a desired orientation with respect to a line of sight from the user to a target. The apparatus includes a viewer (30) with an eyeport (46) through which the user observes the target, thereby establishing the line of sight, a viewer axis (31) with a fixed orientation with respect to the line of sight when the user observes the target, the aiming axis (12) with an actual orientation relative to the viewer axis, and a mechanism for projecting onto the eyeport an image representative of the actual orientation of the aiming axis (12) relative to the viewer axis (31). The apparatus also includes a transmitter (20), adapted to be rigidly mounted on the aimable device (10), for transmitting to the viewer an indication of the actual orientation of the aiming axis (12) relative to the viewer axis (30).
Abstract:
A method and system for aiming a small caliber weapon (12) at a target (15) wherein a light beam (14) is directed from the weapon (12) towards an area of the target (15) so as to form a light spot on an object in the target area and the light spot is imaged on a two-dimensional detector (25) so as to form an image (29, 30, 32) thereon whose displacement from an origin of the detector bears a predetermined relationship to a corresponding displacement of the object from a center of the target. The image of the light spot is projected on to a visor (11) worn by a marksman (10) having a reference mark (20) thereon for visually determining the center of the target, and the cycle is repeated as required until the projected image (21) of the light spot on the visor is coincident with the reference mark (20).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a digital sight for a hand-carried projectile-firing device and a method of controlling the digital sight. A digital sight for a hand-carried projectile-firing device according to an embodiment of the present invention is a digital sight (100) for a hand-carried projectile-firing device, the digital sight (100) including an inertial sensor package (200) and a manual rotation device (300), wherein the inertial sensor package (200) includes a gyroscope (210) and an accelerometer module (220). In accordance with the present invention, equipment for measuring the firing direction of a hand-carried projectile-firing device such as a mortar is replaced with a digital sight for a hand-carried projectile-firing device, which reduces an estimation error while using a single medium-low level gyroscope, thus enabling the projectile-firing device to precisely and promptly fire a projectile and improving the operability thereof.
Abstract:
An apparatus for aiming a target by an optical scope (100) mounted on a firearm, the apparatus comprising a ballistic computer (110), an acceleration sensor (120) and a target aiming system (160) comprising means (161A, 161 B, 161C) configured to generate pairs of stimuli for indicating inaccuracies of positioning of the apparatus with respect to the vector of gravity, wherein the same stimuli of the pair indicate a correct positioning in a particular direction and different stimuli of the pair indicate a direction of deviation from the correct positioning in a particular direction.
