    摘要: The invention relates to a self-propelled underwater body, in particular a torpedo, comprising a rigid outer shell (10) that is composed of individual shell sections (11) arranged one behind the other along the longitudinal axis of the body. Said body has an electric drive (14) integrated into a tail section (111) and a battery (17) for supplying current. The aim of the invention is to adapt the energy supply, which is carried by the body to the actual energy demand required for each operational area and mission. To achieve this, the battery (17) can be composed of several, functionally independent battery units (171, 172, 173) and each battery unit (171, 172, 173) is integrated into a battery section (115) (shell section (11)). The number of battery sections (115) that are included in the outer shell (10) can be varied according to requirements and is determined by the energy demand estimated in accordance with the predefined operational profile of the self-propelled underwater body.

    摘要: An electrochemical battery for the propulsion of an underwater craft, comprising: a main electric battery (3) of the electrochemical type, wherein a mixing chamber (5) is configured to house an anhydrous electrolyte (7) and is provided with an intake member (8) for admitting a flow of water from the aquatic environment to the chamber (5), where the admitted water is mixed with the anhydrous electrolyte (7), thereby forming a liquid electrolyte, and a recirculation system (10) for the fluid electrolyte using a centrifugal electric pump (12) and communicating with a plurality of electrochemical cells (15) housed within the chamber (5). The water intake member is configured to establish a direct connection, when open, between the exterior of the craft and the inlet of the centrifugal pump (12), which has an outlet communicating with the mixing chamber. The centrifugal pump is dimensionally configured to act as a flow limiting device when the pressure at the pump inlet is higher than the pressure at the pump outlet, thereby supplying the mixing chamber with a substantially constant flow.
