摘要: Material feeding apparatus having, as one aspect, combining the loading, feeding and refilling functions in a single, vertically disposed housing with a feeder hopper portion of the housing below a refill hopper portion of the housing and separated from the refill hopper portion by a divider wall. The passage of material from the refill hopper portion to the feeder hopper portion is through a valve and material is drawn into the refill hopper portion by a vacuum source and discharged to the feeder hopper portion in response to indications of the level of the material in the refill hopper portion and the feeder hopper portion. A second aspect of this material feeding apparatus is the use of a flap valve as the valve which determines the passage of material from the refill hopper to the feeder hopper. A third aspect of this material feeding apparatus is combining two or more such systems in a blender and loading the systems with a single vacuum source which is selectively indexed to load the individual systems with constituent parts of a blend as the demand for material is sensed.

摘要: A method of dosing dough portions on a baking surface to be introduced into an oven, in which the dough portions, all essentially of equal volume, are deposited from a dosing device in juxtaposed rows on the baking surface, the volumes dosed by said dosing device being controllable. One of the dough portions in a row is deposited on a weighing device arranged outside the baking surface, after which the weight of said portion is determined. There is derived from the weight a control signal being a measure for the weight, said control signal being adapted to control the volumes dispensed by the dosing device.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of monitoring a patient's medicine compliance. It involves weighing a container of medicine to determine a starting weight on a scale (1) which is connected to a computer (3) with a display unit (5) and storing the starting weight in the computer followed by reweighing the container of medicine after a prescribed dosage is consumed to determine a second weight. The computer (3) then determinmes the difference between the starting weight and said second weight to store a dosage unit weight. The computer (3) is programmed to calculate compliance required weights of the container for each dosage administration for the prescription period of the medicine. The container of medicine is reweighed from time to time on the scale to compare actual weight with compliance required weight to determine compliance and the computer (3) visually displays the compliance results on the display unit (5) to permit compliance monitoring. Optionally, other patient characteristics are also monitored and feedback is provided. The present invention includes both the method and the system of interconnected devices to practice the method. Feedback may be to the patient for self-monitoring or to a professional, and a single medicine or a plurality of medicines may be monitored.
