Timing functions of these modifications which are each filed in at least one memory unit, can be freely selected and collected in a matrix capable of being stored for each planned modification, are applied to the existing, usually autonomous, measurement and control system and the desired values of the control circuits are modified by a higher-level control unit in accordance with the program established by the matrix.

When the board ID is inputted, the parts to be mounted on the board are displayed on a display apparatus (23). The operator causes the sort table (26) of the parts for soldering to be displayed, and specifies the information on the soldering conditions corresponding to the part group to which the displayed parts belong. Thereby, created is a teaching data table (27) containing the information on the soldering conditions of the parts. According to the table (27) the parts are automatically soldered.

A conveyorized transport system (14 to 24) extends between the various stations (12) and the flow of work between the various stations (12) is regulated by assigning class codes to each operation required for a garment and each operation available at the various work stations (12). The class codes for a given garment order are read sequentially from a data memory and as a requirement for each code or work operation arises in the course of producing the garment, the scheduler searches a second data memory to locate the work stations which offer the work operations corresponding to the class code sought. The scheduler then determines from among the available work stations (12) the specific work station to which the garment pieces are sent for performing the required work operation.
