摘要: There is described herein an apparatus for generating a hash for an image in a video sequence of images. The apparatus may a first filter for receiving a sample series of said temporal difference samples in image order, each temporal difference sample representing a difference in pixel values between said image and an adjoining image, the first filter performing a temporal averaging of the sample series. The apparatus may further comprise a second filter for receiving said temporally averaged sample series and determining a rate of change to detect a distinctive event, and a buffer arrangement for storing said distinctive events with the temporal location in the series of images of the associated image. The apparatus may further comprise a hash generator receiving the temporal spacing in images between that image and each of a plurality of images in the temporal neighbourhood of that image having associated therewith a distinctive event, the hash generator deriving a hash for that image from the set of temporal spacings for that image.

The electronic device may include a display, an image capturing unit configured to obtain a plurality of images, a motion detecting unit configured to detect motion data of at least one region of interest (ROI) in the plurality of images, and a controller configured to determine at least one playback rate for the plurality of images based on the detected motion data and control the display to display the plurality of images based on the at least one playback rate.

Hence, video reception device (40) which is configured to transmit and receive data through communication network (16) includes input unit (65), video extraction unit (45), video recognition region setting unit (66), control unit (41) and additional information display control unit (46). The video recognition region setting unit detects superimposing information superimposed on a partial video, and sets a video recognition region or video recognition candidate regions to the partial video based on a detection result. The additional information display control unit generates content recognition information in the video recognition region or in the video recognition candidate regions of the partial video. The control unit performs control of requesting video recognition device (20) to perform video recognition processing on this content recognition information.

The system comprises a camera (100) configured to capture the video sequence and a server (200) configured to perform action recognition. The camera comprises an object identifier (124) configured to identify an object of interest in an object image frame of the video sequence; an action candidate recognizer (126) configured to apply a first action recognition algorithm to the object image frame and thereby detecting presence of an action candidate; an video extractor (127) configured to produce action image frames of an action video sequence by extracting video data pertaining to a plurality of image frames from the video sequence, wherein one or more of the plurality of image frames from which the video data is extracted comprises the object of interest; and a network interface (130) configured to transfer the action video sequence to the server. The server comprises an action verifier (210) configured to apply a second action recognition algorithm to the action video sequence and thereby verify or reject that the action candidate is an action. Also a method for action recognition in a video sequence is presented.

摘要: Methods, devices and computer program products allow embedding and detection of watermarks into and from a multimedia content. One watermark embedding method includes selecting a content segment that lacks inherent features for embedding of watermarks without producing perceptible artifacts, and obtaining a first dither pattern corresponding to a first watermark symbol of a watermark symbol alphabet, where each symbol is associated with a particular dither pattern. Further, each particular dither pattern, upon combination with the multimedia content segment that lacks inherent features, produces a composite content segment without perceptible artifacts. By combining the first dither pattern with the multimedia content segment that lacks inherent features, a first composite content segment with the first embedded watermark symbol is produced. The detection of watermarks messages can be carried out quickly by examining a small portions of the multimedia because even the featureless content segments include embedded watermarks.

摘要: A picture encoding/decoding method and a related apparatus are provided. The picture decoding method includes: obtaining a current picture; selecting, from a knowledge base, K reference pictures of the current picture, where at least one picture in the knowledge base does not belong to a random access segment in which the current picture is located, and K is an integer greater than or equal to 1; and decoding the current picture according to the K reference pictures. The technical solutions provided in embodiments help improve video coding/decoding efficiency.
