Abstract:
Systems, methods, and processes of alarm system detector geofencing are described herein. One method, includes defining, a geofenced area within a facility, the geofenced area defined by a communication range of a communication functionality of at least one of a number of event detection devices of a facility event detection alarm system, using the communication functionality to communicate between the number of event detection devices and a portable device wherein the portable device and at least one of the event detection devices are within a threshold communication range of each other, and determining whether the portable device is within the geofenced area based on the communication between the portable device and at least one of the event detection devices.
Abstract:
A social alarm system 10 provides location detection within a dwelling 12. A personal radio trigger unit 110 is carried by a client and transmits an alarm signal in response to a triggering event, such as by a manual alarm button or an automatic fall detection circuit. A client unit 100 is operable to receive the alarm signal and initiate an alarm call to a remote monitoring centre 201 over a communications network 150. A plurality of radio receptor nodes 125 monitor the wireless RF transmissions from the personal radio trigger 110 to report respective received signal strength values 129. A location finder unit 105 determines a location of the personal radio trigger 110, by using absolute error calculations and/or shape error calculations against previously recorded known locations in the dwelling 12.
Abstract:
A location tracking system includes a first plurality of signal receiving and transmitting devices, the members of the first plurality each include an RF transceiver, sound receivers and sound emitters. A second plurality of signal transmitting units, the members of the second plurality each include at least an RF transceiver and a sound emitter. A system control element in communication with the members of the first plurality wherein the control element determines the locations of members of the second plurality based, at least in part, on information received from members of the first plurality.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for channel estimation in a location tracking system are described. The methods, system, and devices may include tools and techniques for determining and/or designing perfect or semi-perfect sequences (including preamble sequences) for implementation in a location tracking system. Sequences having 2's exponent dimensionality, such as ternary sequences, may be determined and employed, which may help reduce implementation complexity and/or operating power consumption. Sequences may be determined using mean square error and/or maximum autocorrelation peak performance metrics.
Abstract:
A system for monitoring of an object. The system includes a communication unit in proximity to the object, the communication unit including an electrical energy supply, a reader, and a radio station configured to communicate with a terminal over a communication network. The system also includes an ID unit coupled to the object. The ID unit has a unique ID and contains a receiver and a transmitter configured to transmit the unique ID in response to receiving an incoming signal from the reader. The system further includes an alarm circuit coupled to the reader and the radio station. The alarm circuit is configured to trigger an alarm if the reader does not receive a response from the ID unit.
Abstract:
The systems and methods are provided for monitoring the forces and impacts to an object. The systems and method disclosed herein can be used to monitor forces and impacts to a human subject. In some implementations, the system can be disposed into conformal electronics that can be coupled directly to an object or disposed of other objects such as clothing and protective gear. The system can include a storage module to allow for data to be reviewed and analyzed. In some implementations, the system can also include an indicator. In some implementations, the indicator can be used to display real time analysis of impacts made by the system.
