    摘要: An electron tube (1) in which a side tube (10) and a faceplate (21) are sealed together using a malleable metal (23) with a low melting point. The metal (23) is made to spread out along the outer surface of the faceplate (21) due to pressure from a first sealing portion (73) of a sealing metal support member and along the peripheral surface of the electron tube (1) due to pressure from a second sealing portion (74) of the sealing metal support member. Accordingly, the outer side of the corner portion formed by the faceplate (21) and the side tube (10) is covered with the metal (23). This construction not only reliably secures the input faceplate (21) to the side tube (10), but also is extremely effective in preserving the airtightness of the electron tube (1). Since the first sealing portion (73) is pressed toward the faceplate (21), an appropriate pressure can be applied to the metal (23) interposed between the first sealing portion (73) and the faceplate (21), improving the sealability of the metal (23) against the faceplate (21) and the first sealing portion (73). This construction is also appropriate for mass production of electron tubes (1).

    摘要: A capped electric lamp according to the invention comprises a lamp vessel (10) which is closed in a gastight manner and encloses a light source. The lamp vessel (10) is surrounded by a glass outer envelope (20) which is fastened at an end portion (21) to a housing (40) by means of a coupling member (30), which housing in addition supports a lamp cap (50). The coupling member (30) is made of metal, and the end portion (21) of the outer envelope (20) is fused to the coupling member (30). In the lamp according to the invention, the coupling member (30) is of a simple construction while nevertheless a blown outer envelope (20) can be used.

    摘要: A lighting unit according to the invention comprises an electrodeless low-pressure discharge lamp which is provided with a discharge vessel (10) closed in a gastight manner and comprising an ionizable filling. The discharge vessel (10) has a recessed portion (11) and an enveloping portion (12). The recessed portion (11) and the enveloping portion (12) each have a fastening (35A, 35B) to a metal collar (33), a coil (20) being arranged in the recessed portion (11) for generating a high-frequency magnetic field for maintaining an electric discharge in the discharge vessel (10). The enveloping portion (12) is provided at an inner surface (14) with a light-transmitting, electrically conductive layer (30). The conductive layer (30) is electrically connected to a lead-through member (31) of which the metal collar (33) forms part in that the conductive layer (30) covers a region (32) of the lead-through member (31) which adjoins the inner surface (14) of the enveloping portion (12) and which is at a distance from at least one (35A) of the fastenings (35A, 35B) between the discharge vessel (10) and the collar (33). The lighting unit according to the invention can be efficiently manufactured, and the lead-through member forms a reliable electrical connection to the conductive layer.

    摘要: In an X-ray image intensifier, an incident window (33) on which X-rays are incident is fixed to a support frame (34) fixed to a glass vessel (32). The incident window (33) has a dome portion (33c) and a flat portion (33a) around the dome portion (33c), and is fixed to the support frame (34) through an annular brazing sheet (42). The brazing sheet (42) has brazing material layers (42c, 42d). The brazing material layers (42c, 42d) are melted, thereby welding the brazing sheet (42), the incident window (33), and the support frame (34) with each other. A groove is formed in the brazing sheet (42) to form a brazing material puddle, so the brazing material will not reach the input screen of the incident window during melting.
