摘要: A membrane-electrode assembly with improved durability is provided. An embodiment of the present invention provides a membrane-electrode assembly comprising: a polymer electrolyte membrane having concavo-convex portions on at least one surface thereof and a catalyst layer disposed on the polymer electrolyte membrane, wherein the catalyst layer includes a first catalyst layer loaded into the inside of the concavo-convex portion and a second catalyst layer disposed on the polymer electrolyte membrane, the first catalyst layer being interposed between the polymer electrolyte membrane and the second catalyst layer.

摘要: A membrane electrode assembly includes: a polymer electrolyte membrane; a pair of electrode catalyst layers disposed with the polymer electrolyte membrane therebetween while being in contact with a surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane; and a gas diffusion layer laminated on each of the pair of electrode catalyst layers. The gas diffusion layer includes a microporous layer in contact with the electrode catalyst layer and a diffusion substrate layer made of a fiber substrate. An average fiber diameter of a fiber material contained in the diffusion substrate layer is 10 times or more and 150 times of less of an average fiber diameter of the fibrous substance contained in the electrode catalyst layer.

摘要: In a membrane electrode assembly (113), a cathode catalyst layer (109) includes a catalyst, an electrically conductive support that supports the catalyst, and an ionomer having a proton conductivity. The cathode catalyst layer (109) includes an inner portion that is in contact with an electrolyte membrane (102) and an outer portion that is in contact with or is opposite to the cathode gas diffusion layer (110). When a ratio of a mass of the ionomer to a mass of the support is defined as an ionomer presence ratio, the ionomer presence ratio in the inner portion is lower than the ionomer presence ratio in the outer portion. The state of coverage of the support with the ionomer in the inner portion is different from the state of coverage of the support with the ionomer in the outer portion.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gas diffusion electrode with good power generation performance as a fuel cell, which achieves both dry-up resistance and flooding resistance. In order to achieve the aforementioned purpose, the present invention is configured as described below. A gas diffusion electrode in which a microporous layer is provided on at least one surface of a conductive porous substrate, wherein the areas obtained by dividing the cross section perpendicular to the plane of the microporous layer into three equal parts in the thickness direction are a first area, a second area, and a third area, with respect to the conductive porous substrate side, the fluorine strength of the third area being 0.8 to 1.2 times the fluorine strength of the second area.
