The present invention relates to an on-load voltage regulation tap switch for a transformer, comprising a main switch group, a switch contact protection branch and a switch control circuit, wherein the main switch group comprises a plurality of switch contacts, one end of the switch group is connected to a corresponding transformer winding tap, and the other end of the switch group is connected in parallel and is then connected to a power source; the switch contact protection branch is a series circuit formed by a plurality of groups of diodes and auxiliary switch contacts, and is respectively connected to both ends of a corresponding main switch in parallel; and the switch control circuit is composed of a power source, a single chip microcomputer and a peripheral circuit, and controls all of the main switches and auxiliary switches to act in a certain time sequence, so as to complete the switching of the transformer windings. Compared with the existing on-load voltage regulation tap switch, the on-load voltage regulation tap switch for a transformer of the present invention has the advantages of a fast tapping speed, no inrush current during tapping and a continuous current, and has a simple operation, high reliability, small volume, light weight, low costs, etc.

A power transfer system (301) includes a power transmission device (101) and a power reception device (201) which are capacitively coupled to allow electrical conduction therethrough in the manner of alternating current. The power transmission device (101) includes an active electrode (3), a passive electrode (2), a step-up transformer (11), and a high-frequency voltage generating circuit (10). The power reception device (201) includes an active electrode (6), a passive electrode (7), and a load circuit (5). A divider for voltage division based on load capacitances (C1 and C2) is provided between the active electrode (3) and the passive electrode (2). The active electrode (3) and the passive electrode (2) have respective equivalent capacitances to ground (Ca and Cp) relative to the ground potential. A ground leakage current Ig is minimized by adjusting the values of the respective capacitances in an equivalent circuit so as to satisfy the relationship: C2/C1 = Cp/Ca.

Methods and systems for transforming electric power between two or more portals. Any or all portals can be DC, single phase AC, or multi-phase AC. Conversion is accomplished by a plurality of bi-directional conducting and blocking semiconductor switches which alternately connect an inductor and parallel capacitor between said portals, such that energy is transferred into the inductor from one or more input portals and/or phases, then the energy is transferred out of the inductor to one or more output portals and/or phases, with said parallel capacitor facilitating "soft" turn-off, and with any excess inductor energy being returned back to the input. Soft turn-on and reverse recovery is also facilitated. Said bi-directional switches allow for two power transfers per inductor/capacitor cycle, thereby maximizing inductor/capacitor utilization as well as providing for optimum converter operation with high input/output voltage ratios. Control means coordinate the switches to accomplish the desired power transfers.
