摘要: Methods and devices for transmitting message attachments from a messaging server to a mobile device. The mobile device identifies if any of the attachments are of a first type and requests transmission, from the messaging server, of the identified attachments of the first type, if any. The device determines the remaining transmission capacity by subtracting the collective size of the message body received and the identified attachments of the first type, if any, from the initial data limit. Based on the remaining transmission capacity, the device determines that at least one of the one or more attachments, other than the identified attachments, has a size smaller than the remaining transmission capacity, and based on that determination, requests transmission of said at least one of the one or more attachments from the messaging server to the mobile device.

摘要: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts: displays a plurality of user interface objects in a first user interface; detects a contact while a focus selector is at a location of a first user interface object; and, while the focus selector is at the location of the first user interface object: detects an increase in a characteristic intensity of the contact to a first intensity threshold; in response, visually obscures the plurality of user interface objects, other than the first user interface object, while maintaining display of the first user interface object; detects that the characteristic intensity of the contact continues to increase above the first intensity threshold; and, in response, dynamically increases the amount of visual obscuring of the plurality of user interface objects, other than the first user interface object.

The web resource may comprise a web page specifically encoded for the mobile communication device (2). To locate the web page, the mobile communication device (2) sends a request comprising an internet domain name having a top level domain and one or more other elements. The transcoder (5) generates further internet domain names that share the one or more further elements. The transcoder (5) then determines which of the web resources identified by the one or more further internet domain names is most appropriate for the mobile communication device (2) and provides this web resource to the mobile communication device (2).

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to web content communication. In accordance with embodiments of the present invention, content items contained in the requested web content may be dynamically analyzed and classified according to their requirement for individual users. Web content items with different requirements are transmitted to the users based on protocols having different transportation characteristics. Those important content items are transmitted based on a more accurate, reliable protocol, thereby ensuring the quality of transmission. Those unimportant content items are transmitted based on a protocol with less or without guarantee of transmission accuracy. In this way, response delays can be reduced. Moreover, even if part or all of the unimportant content items are lost or delayed, the user experience can be maintained on an acceptable level.

摘要: Exemplary methods for distributed multi-component network-aware service placement in a resource pool include utilizing a hierarchy of agents associated with computing resources of a cloud architecture. An agent in the hierarchy can merge solution encodings to find cover sets indicating feasible placement solutions that can cover an entire application placement request. The agent can partition the components across its children nodes such that global network traffic is minimized. An application graph is generated with components as vertices and edges indicating connections between the components and having associated weights indicating a data transfer rate between the components. The edges can be sorted, and each cover set can be processed by repeatedly assigning unassigned pairs of components having higher data transfer rates to a common assignment set. If multiple placement solutions are found, determined placement costs for each can be used to identify the preferred placement.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for cloud file processing. An exemplary method may include acquiring a position of a first data packet read by the client in the target file as a reading position when a target file that a client intends to read from a cloud server is divided into a plurality of data packets. The method may also include acquiring a state of a second data packet not at the reading position in the target file as a peripheral state. The peripheral state is a read-completed state or an unread state. When the reading position and the peripheral state meet a preset condition, the method may further include sending, by the client, a data pre-fetch request to the cloud server. The data pre-fetch request is used to request to read, from the cloud server, a preset amount of data packets whose peripheral states are unread states in the target file.
