摘要: Some embodiments provide for a modular video projector system having a light engine module and an optical engine module. The light engine module can provide narrow-band laser light to the optical engine module which modulates the laser light according to video signals received from a video processing engine. Some embodiments provide for an optical engine module having a sub-pixel generator configured to display video or images at a resolution of at least four times greater than a resolution of modulating elements within the optical engine module. Systems and methods for reducing speckle are presented in conjunction with the modular video projector system.

According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the navigation image of the vehicle is projected onto the road surface in front of the vehicle, thereby improving visibility and ensuring the projection effect.

摘要: A free-form lens (for example a phase modulator, lens or deformable mirror) may be made to reproduce a light pattern specified by image data. Source regions on the free-form lens are mapped to target regions areas on an image. Areas of the source regions are adjusted to vary the amount of light delivered to each of the target regions. Adjustment of the source areas may be achieved using a L-BFGS optimization which preferably incorporates smoothness and curl regularizers. Embodiments apply parallel processing to obtain control values for a free form lens in real time or near real time. Apparatus may process image data and display an image by controlling a dynamically variable free form lens using the processed image data.

In a case where the control unit 8 determines that a defect occurs in the predetermined region R of the light diffusion unit 4 as the state of the predetermined region R of the light diffusion unit 4, the control unit 8 executes a process to stop displaying the projection.

摘要: A single plate type projector has a DMD 3 and a rotary color filter 2. The DMD 3 converts light emitted from a lamp 1 into modulated light. The rotary color filter 2 separates the emission light from the lamp 1 into plural colors by rotating a rotary region which is interposed between the lamp 1 and the DMD 3 and on which light transmittance filter segments allowing each of different colors to pass are arranged. In such a projector, there has been a trade-off relation between the brightness of the entire image and color reproducibility because the amount of light of each color and the brightness of the entire image are restricted by the rotary filter. The amount of light emitting from the lamp 1 is controlled so that the amount of light increases during a period when the light emitted from the lamp 1 passes through at least one of the plurality of filter segments in the rotary color filter 2. Consequently, the brightness of the entire image and the color reproducibility can be arbitrarily regulated by regulating the quantity of light being emitted from the lamp 1.
