The perpendicular and orthogonal interconnection system includes a first board group, a second board group orthogonal to the first board group, and a center backplane arranged between the first board group and the second board group, where the first board group includes a plurality of first boards parallel to each other, and the second board group includes a plurality of second boards parallel to each other; a plurality of curved male connectors is arranged on each of the first boards, a plurality of curved female connectors is arranged on each of the second boards, and the curved male connectors and the curved female connectors directly cooperate and are connected in one-to-one correspondence. In the present invention, the curved male connectors and the curved female connectors directly cooperate and are connected. When the perpendicular and orthogonal interconnection system is upgraded, only the board that permanently has the curved male connectors and the curved female connectors needs to be replaced, which is rather simple and shortens a signal link. Based on the foregoing advantages, the perpendicular and orthogonal interconnection system is applicable to various communications devices; therefore, its upgrade is convenient, signal quality is improved, heat dissipation is ideal, and material costs are saved.

The present invention discloses a backplane apparatus, including a first backplane structure and a second backplane structure, where the first backplane structure is configured to transmit power and low-speed signals, and the second backplane structure is configured to transmit high-speed signals, low-speed signals, or optical signals. The first backplane structure includes a first backplane, multiple first connectors, and a connected space, where the first connectors are arranged on the first backplane and boards are electrically connected to the first backplane. The second backplane structure includes multiple second backplanes and multiple second connectors, where the second connectors are arranged on the second backplanes, the second backplanes are installed on the first backplane, and the second connectors are electrically connected to boards by crossing the connected space or via the first connectors. The present invention also discloses a communication device. By using the backplane apparatus and communication device provided in the present invention, a big backplane in the prior art is split into a relatively big first backplane and multiple relatively small second backplanes, thereby decreasing a size and thickness of the backplane, and reducing manufacturing difficulty and a cost of the backplane.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a backplane, a communication device and a communication system, which belong to the field of communications technologies. The backplane includes multiple vertical insertion plates separately arranged from each other, and connectors connecting circuit boards and a circuit serving as signal wiring are disposed on the vertical insertion plate. The connector is electronically connected to the circuit of the vertical insertion plate on which the connector is disposed, so that when the connector on the vertical insertion plate connects a switch board with a service board, the switch board and the service board can implement signal interconnection through the signal wiring of the vertical insertion plate. Due to the backplane of a three-dimensional structure, the processing difficulty of the backplane is greatly lowered, the cost is greatly reduced, thus solving the problem of excessively large number of layers and excessively large size, which is caused by large-scale backplane wiring. Therefore the backplane design and the switching capacity of a communication device are not limited by the processing capability of a PCB, thereby ensuring implementability of capacity expansion of a communication device in engineering.
