    Abstract: A base station apparatus and a communication system, witch are capable of optimizing a radio transmission path between a mobile station and a base station according to a communication speed of a backhaul link, are provided. The base station apparatus capable of communicating with a mobile station via a radio transmission path comprises information acquisition means of acquiring information on a communication speed of a backhaul link, and parameter adjustment means of adjusting communication parameters of the radio transmission path so that a communication speed of the radio transmission path becomes equal to or lower than the communication speed of the backhaul link, based on the information on communication speed of the backhaul link and a channel bandwidth of the radio transmission path.

    Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for maintaining service continuity of a user equipment (UE) after a tracking area is updated. In the method, after a UE initiates a tracking area update (TAU) request, a mobility management entity (MME) judges whether an updated target serving gateway (SGW) is the same as a source SGW (S302); in a case where a judgment result is that the updated target SGW is not the same as the source SGW, the MME further judges whether an evolved base station (eNodeB) currently accessed by the UE is changed (S304); and in a case where the eNodeB is not changed, the MME selects the target SGW to serve the UE and sends the eNodeB a notification message indicating that the UE is switched over to a serving area of the target SGW, or the MME stops selecting an SGW for the UE but directly instructs the UE to continue to be served by the source SGW (S306). The technical solution may maintain service continuity of a UE after a TAU process, thereby improving the user experience.

    Abstract: Discloses is a gateway, base station, communication network and synchronization method thereof. The method comprises: at time T1, sending from the gateway to the base stations a synchronization request signal; at time T2, receiving by the base stations the synchronization request signal; at time T3, sending from the base stations to the gateway the synchronization response comprising the times T2 and T3; at time T4, receiving by the gateway the synchronization response signals; and calculating for the base stations a mapping relationship between the time system of the gateway and the time system of the base station is calculated based on the times T1, T2, T3 and T4. With the configuration and method proposed in present invention, it can be avoided the problem that accurate synchronization between the gateway and the base stations can not be reached for MBMS data packets in LTE because of path delay and jitter error, so that every base station can specify the same transmitting time for MBMS data packets to guarantee that UE could implement correct RF combining.
