    摘要: A television tuner includes a metal frame having first to fourth side plates. The area inside the metal frame is divided by a shield plate into a first division adjacent to the first side plate and a second division adjacent to the second side plate opposite to the first side plate. A first connector for receiving a television signal is disposed on the third side plate interfacing with the first division.
    The first division contains a first wideband amplifier disposed adjacent to the first connector and a distributor disposed between the first wideband amplifier and the fourth side plate such as to be adjacent to the first wideband amplifier.     摘要: A shielded modular tuner (10) is horizontally mounted onto a chassis printed circuit board (20) and is provided, through an aperture in the shield, with lead connections (15) from the edge of the tuner printed circuit board (13) to the chassis printed circuit board (20), for power supply, control signals, outputting a processed signal, etc. The RF signal is coupled to the tuner via a conductive pin/lead (26) extending from an RF signal conducting path (28) on the chassis printed circuit board (20), passing through a second aperture (30) in the shield, directly to the point on the tuner printed circuit board where the signal is to be inputted for tuner processing. In this way, the RF signal is injected directly into the tuner precisely where it is needed without being led along a longer and possibly meandering path from the edge of the tuner printed circuit board, and without a shielded coaxial cable and accompanying connectors.

    摘要: A shield assembly for installation on a portion of a printed circuit board is presented. The shield (16) assembly includes a shield mounted on the component mounting side of the printed circuit board and has a plurality of support projections (30) inserted through apertures of the printed circuit board to the conductor side where they are mechanically secured and electrically connected to a reference potential. A first shield cover (22) is mounted to the shield at a peripheral edge distal of the printed circuit board. A second shield cover (34) is disposed at the conductor side of the printed circuit board. The second shield cover (34) is provided with two pluralities of protrusions (32, 42). The first plurality of protrusions (32) extends through apertures in the printed circuit board to engage the body of the shield. The second plurality of protrusions (42) engages respective support projections (30) of the shield.
