The invention relates to a method for obtaining phosphate from raw materials containing valuable substances. The aim of the invention is to provide an economical method for recovering phosphates from raw materials containing valuable substances with greater yields than known methods. According to the invention, this is achieved by a method in which an extractant is selected from the group consisting of (i) a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2), (ii) a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NOx), and (iii) a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).

The invention further provides for an apparatus for converting an organic liquor into a mixture of hydrocarbons and carbon solids, comprising: a heater for producing a mixture of liquid and vaporized oil from the organic liquor; a reactor for converting the mixture into carbon solids and a hydrocarbon/gas mixture; a first cooler for accepting the carbon solids; and a second cooler for accepting the hydrocarbon/gas mixture. The invention still further relates to a separator that separates out particulates of a dimension of about 1 micron, such as cellular debris from bacteria, from a surrounding fluid.

The mixture is put in a pressure vessel (5) and is filtered (6) to separate the liquid portion (7) and the solid part (9), which can be neutralised (10) or treated with micro organisms (13). This process is intended to be used in the leather and fur industry as well as in agriculture.

A method for treating infectious organic waste material such as dewatered sewage sludge, mixed organic wastes and animal waste. The method includes mixing the infectious organic waste material with a comminuted organic fibrous material to provide a reaction mixture. An oxidizing agent is an optional additive. The reaction mixture is heated in a hyperbaric reactor vessel at an elevated pressure and temperature for a time sufficient to create saturated steam and to produce a substantially denatured product containing inactivated pathogenic agents. The denatured product is dehydrated to produce a free-flowing solid product that may be used in various agricultural, industrial or commercial applications. Odor is controlled so that malodorous compounds are not released to the atmosphere.
