An antenna connector comprises a first housing for housing an end of a coaxial cable, first and second contact to be connected to a core wire and a shield wire, respectively, of the coaxial cable housed in the first housing, a second housing for housing the first housing, and a pair of conductive feeding metal plates. The feeding metal plates are arranged on and secured to a conductive antenna pattern formed on an insulative substrate and each of them has a first holder for receiving and holding the second housing and a second holder for receiving and holding the first and second contacts. When the first housing is housed in the second housing, the first and second contacts are engaged with and held by the second holder to plugably connect the coaxial cable to the antenna without disturbing an impedance matching and with a sufficient mechanical strength.

The invention is to provide an antenna holding device, capable of achieving easy assembly and enlarging freedom in the assembling process. An antenna can be held by a screw so as to be mounted onto an antenna holder. The antenna holder is mounted onto a main body case by the outserting mount method. The main body case is provided with a groove, capable of holding an antenna terminal by itself. According to the configuration, freedom in the order of assembling process can be enlarged, and the process can be divided into smaller steps. Furthermore, operativity in assembly can be improved.

A dielectric connector, for coupling radio-frequency signals from a signal generating device disposed inside an explosion-proof housing to a signal receiving device arranged outside the housing. The connector is configured to be sealingly inserted in an opening in the housing, and adapted to receive, from the inside of the housing, at least one internal conducting member, and receive, from the outside of the housing, at least one external conducting member. At least one of the conducting members is partly inserted in the connector and reactive (capacitive and/or inductive) coupling and galvanic separation is provided between the signal generating device and the signal receiving device. A combination of strong reactive coupling and secure operation in hazardous environments is enabled through the dielectric connector according to the present invention.
