Abstract:
In an hydraulic system a solenoid-operated valve means (1) is used to control delivery of pressure fluid to a part (20) of the system, the fluid being circulated by a pump (15) from a reservoir (14) through the valve means (1) and back. To provide a light, low-powered solenoid valve which is still able to deal with the pressure generated, the valve means (1) has a solenoid-operated valve (6) biassed open, and closed when the solenoid-operated valve (6) biassed open, and closed when the solenoid (12) is energised to generate pressure fluid, the valve (6) then being operated in response to the pressure and a pressure-responsive valve-opening means (7), such that when the pressure rises above a first threshold level the pressure acts to keep the valve (6) closed, until the pressure reaches a second threshold level at which the valve-opening means (7) is operative to cause the valve (6) to open provided the solenoid (12) is de-energised. The valve-opening means (7) comprises a valve (34) which opens at the second threshold level to allow pressure fluid into a cavity (37) defined by a piston (33) to cause the pressure to fall and the valve (6) to open.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A valve-regulator assembly for rendering a high pressure gas source compatible with lower pressure equipment, said valve-regulator being sealable or remote from the high pressure gas source enabling recharging at high pressure.
Abstract:
A high pressure water control device comprising a water inlet 10, a high pressure water outlet 12, a low pressure water outlet 13 and a valve 19 for selectively communicating the inlet with one or other of the outlets. The valve is a spool valve comprising a sleeve 20 and a spool 27 slidable in the sleeve. The spool has two axially spaced apart annular seals 28, 29 and the sleeve includes an annular groove 25 in its outer surface and one or more dump ports 26 which communicate between the groove and the inside of the sleeve so that when the dump ports are disposed between the spaced apart seals of the spool high pressure water will be delivered to the high pressure water outlet. The control device may be in the form of a water gun also having an elongate nozzle 11 terminating in the high pressure outlet and a barrel 14 surrounding the nozzle and terminating in the low pressure outlet.
