The invention relates to a spur wheel camshaft drive for an internal combustion engine comprising a crankshaft timing gear and a camshaft pulley (120) and at least one intermediate gearwheel arranged therebetween. The gearwheels of the spur wheel camshaft drive are each provided with a hub (124) and a gear ring (122). The camshaft pulley (120), the crankshaft timing gear and/or at least one of the intermediate wheels are configured in such a way that the respective gear ring (122) can be turned against the respective hub (124) around a predetermined angle. A readjusting device (126) is provided between the hub (124) and the gear ring (122). Said readjusting device (126) exerts a readjusting force onto said hub (124) and said gear ring (122) according to torsion.
