Sie hat dazu Koppelmittel (40), zu denen beispielsweise eine formschlüssige Kupplung zwischen einer Stempelhalteleiste (13, 14) und der Auswahlplatte (39) gehören. Zu der formschlüssigen Kupplung kann ein mit einer Ausnehmung (42) versehener Rand der Auswahlplatte (39), ein diesen Rand übergreifender Fortsatz (43) der Stempelhalteleiste (13, 14) und/oder eine Rippe (41) gehören, die an der Unterseite der Auswahlplatte (39) angeordnet und der Stempelhalteleiste (13, 14) zugeordnet ist. Dadurch kann wahlweise ein Formschluss zwischen der Stempelhalteleiste (13, 14) und der Auswahlplatte (39) hergestellt werden. Mittels der Rippe 41 wird der Stanzhub der Auswahlplatte (39) lediglich auf diejenige Stempelhalteleiste (13 oder 14) übertragen, die formschlüssig mit dem seitlichen Rand oder Vorsprüngen der Auswahlplatte 39 in Eingriff steht. Die längliche Rippe (41) deckt die Köpfe (26, 27, 28, 29) der Stempel 8 ab und überträgt den Hub flächenhaft auf die Stempelhalteleiste (13 oder 14).

A tool-changing system for a press utilizes a rotary turret on which different tools are rigidly fixed. The turret includes a circular table base (10) which is rotatably mounted on top of the press anvil. As the turret is turned, a different tool is moved into the work zone in vertical alignment with the upper tool on the press ram. The turret table can either be manually or motor driven in either direction between indexed operative positions. The indexing system which senses the position of the turret and indexes the turret to its next operating position uses only two simple sensors (21, 22) which are located beneath the turret table. Each sensor reads a different circular track (33, 34) on the underside of the turret table.

There is provided a punching device including: a die member having a plurality of die holes formed therein; a plurality of punch members which are caused to advance into the die holes to punch holes in a member to be punched; an operating member having cam portions formed along a direction intersecting the direction of advancement of the punch members, the operating member being moved along the direction intersecting the direction of advancement of the punch members to cause by a conversion function of the cam portions the punch members to advance into the die holes; and a drive unit for selectively causing advancement of the plurality of punch members by changing the direction of movement of the operating member. In the punching device, each of the cam portions has a straight groove and a cam groove for performing the conversion function, and when the operating member is moved in one of opposite directions, at least one of the cam grooves of the cam portions acts on one of the punch members to selectively cause the same to advance.
