    摘要: Disclosed is a gas intake zone (1) of a separable gas filter housing which removably accommodates a filter element (3). Said gas intake zone (1) is used as a prefilter and comprises a plurality of axially adjacent, axially impinged cyclone collectors that are provided with respective spin generators (7) in the inlet zones thereof and gas-discharging immersion tubes (9) at the discharge end within annular ducts (10) which are located between said immersion tubes (9) and the respectively associated outer cyclone walls while being used for preseparating dirt particles separated in an outer radial direction in the individual cyclones by means of centrifugal forces, the immersion tubes (9) being axially dipped into the interior of the cyclone collectors. The aim of the invention is to be able to efficiently produce said gas intake zone (1) while especially making the same easy to clean. Said aim is achieved by a prefilter which is characterized in that all cyclones are composed of a unit encompassing three areas (1'; 5'; 2';), i.e. a first area (1') that is monolithically molded into the filter housing and is fitted with first partial spin-generating elements, a second area (5') that is embodied as an inserted part (5) and is provided with second partial spin-generating elements which adjoin the first partial spin-generating elements in the direction of flow and form the spin generators along with the first partial spin-generating elements, and hollow cylindrical ducts (8) located downstream from the spin generators (7), as well as a third area (2') that is also embodied as an insertable part, contains the immersion tubes (9), and is equipped with a bottom which encloses the immersion tubes (9) so as to form a dirt particle collection chamber (11) within the filter housing (1), said dirt particle collection chamber (11) bordering the annular ducts (10) of the cyclones.

    摘要: A filter device according to the present invention comprises: a filter portion having a fluid outlet at its axis, and a fluid inlet in a position away from the axis, in which a fluid containing particles is supplied at a predetermined flow speed from the fluid inlet to cause a swirl, particles are moved outward in a centrifugal state and the fluid from which the particles are separated is discharged from the fluid outlet, and the particles separated by slowing down the swirl are allowed to sink; and a settlement portion in which the particles that settle in the filter portion are allowed to settle. Thus, a fluid containing particles is supplied at a predetermined flow speed to cause a swirl, the particles are separated by a centrifugal force caused by the swirl and allowed to sink and settle, and the fluid from which the particles are separated is discharged. A large amount of particles can be allowed to settle and be reliably removed in a short time with this small-sized and simple device. The filter device does not clog, does not need wash and exchange work and keeps the costs low.

    摘要: A vacuum cleaner comprises a pair of low efficiency cyclones 14a,14b connected upstream of respective groups of high efficiency cyclones 25a,26a,27a & 25b,26b,27b by respective elongate ducts 24a,24b. The high efficiency cyclones of each group are arranged in a line or a cluster extending away from their respective low efficiency cyclone, such that at least a portion of one side of the low efficiency cyclone is exposed. Accordingly, the fill level of the low efficiency cyclone is not obscured and can easily be determined. The arrangement permits a wide range of cyclone configurations to be adopted and also enables a plurality of smaller high efficiency cyclones to be used as the first stage, thereby reducing the dirt loading of the second stage cyclones and improving overall separation efficiency.
    The high efficiency cyclones 25a,26a,27a & 25b,26b,27b are connected to their respective elongate ducts 24a,24b at respective positions along the length thereof, with each cyclone comprising an inlet connecting to the duct. The inlets of each high efficiency cyclone are stepped along the axis of the duct with respect to the inlet of each other cyclone of the group, in a direction which extends across the width of the duct. The stepped configuration of the inlets across the ducts 24a,24b avoids having to route the ducts over or around the upstream cyclone(s).
