摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to apparatus, systems and methods for heat-assisted spooling and unspooling of filament or rod materials for use in 3D printing systems and methods. Described is a system or apparatus for spooling or unspooling of a filament or rod, the system or apparatus comprising a heat source configured to provide heat to the filament or rod; and a rotatable member configured to rotate around its central axis of symmetry so as to spool the filament or rod onto the rotatable member or off the rotatable member. Methods for spooling or unspooling of a filament material of e.g. glass or metal are also described.

摘要: A wash station (10) for cleaning a downward facing printer head (12) in metal-binder jetting is proposed. The wash station (10) comprises: a frame (16); a nozzle (20) for projecting a cleaning liquid in an upward direction; a nozzle support (18) supporting the nozzle (20), wherein the nozzle support (18) is movable relative to the frame (16). The wash station (10) further comprises: a lid (24) configured to transition between a closed position and a first open position at a change in position of the nozzle support (18) between the first position and the second position of the nozzle support (18), wherein the lid (24) is positioned above the nozzle (20) in the closed position and is positioned beside and/or below the nozzle (20) in the first open position.
