摘要:
The present invention provides dichroic light polarizers based on dyes. In the dichroic light polarizers of this invention, the dye molecules are aggregated into particles oriented in a predetermined direction on a surface of a substrate to enable the dye to polarize light transmitted through the dye.
摘要:
The present invention relates to novel photoactivable rhodamine or carbopyronine derivatives of the following general formulae G1-G4 (I), G1: A1 = O, A2 = N, A3 = C; G2: A1 = S, A2 = N, A3 = C; G3: A1 = O, A2 = O, A3 = N; G4: A1 = S, A2 = O, A3 = N; comprising UV light absorbing chromophores which after photolysis by irradiation at 254-490 nm (preferably at 375-420 nm) generate fluorescent rhodamine or carbopyronine derivatives and small non-toxic fragments such as N 2 or N 2 O. The invention also relates to methods for preparing such compounds and to the use of these compounds for optical microscopy and imaging techniques.
摘要:
The present invention provides anthraquinonyl and anthronyl dyes and dichroic light polarizers based on the dyes. The dichroic light polarizer includes two separate embodiments. In the first embodiment, the dye molecules are aggregated into particles oriented in a predetermined direction on the surface of a substrate to enable the dye to polarize light transmitted through the dye. In the other embodiment, the dye molecules are molecularly oriented in a non-periodic arrangement of different polarizing elements on the surface of a substrate. Each of the polarizing elements has a differing orientation of the polarization vector in the substrate plane and/or a different color. The dichroic light polarizer may contain one or more additional dye layers and may have a transparent layer intermediate between the dye layers.
