An object of the present invention is to provide a modified polyolefin resin composition having a high polyethylene content and exhibiting a good balance between a low-temperature stability and an adhesion to a polyethylene substrate and a metal. The present invention provides a modified polyolefin resin that is a graft-modified product in which a component (A) that is a polyolefin resin having an ethylene structural unit content of 50% or more by mole is modified with a component (B) that is an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof and a component (C) that is a (meth)acrylate ester represented by the following general formula (I), and an extrapolated melting end temperature (Tem) of the modified polyolefin resin measured in accordance with JIS K7121-1987 using a differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature raising rate of 10°C/minute is 58°C or lower.

An object of the present invention is to provide an alcohol-based composition containing an acryl-modified polyolefin resin that exhibits a good adhesion even at a high solid content, that suppresses an increase in viscosity, and that has good stability such as dispersibility and sustainable stability. The present invention relates to a dispersion composition in which at least a modified polyolefin resin is dispersed in a dispersing medium containing an alcohol solvent and an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent. The modified polyolefin resin is modified with a (meth)acrylic acid component containing at least a (meth)acrylic ester represented by the following general formula (I) and a (meth)acrylic ester represented by the following general formula (II). The total content of the structure derived from the (meth)acrylic acid component in the dispersion composition is 3% to 94% by weight relative to 100% by weight as a total amount of the modified polyolefin resin and (meth)acrylic acid component polymer, and a solid fraction in the dispersion composition is 30% to 80% by weight.

The present invention provides aqueous composition comprising a multi-stage acrylic emulsion polymer having a first stage polymer of from 0.5 to 4 wt.%, based on the total weight of monomers used to make the first stage polymer, of a copolymerized carboxylic acid or salt group containing monomer, and having 10 to 30 wt.%, on total solids of the multi-stage acrylic emulsion polymer, of a second stage polymer of from 3 to 15 wt.% of a copolymerized hydroxyl group containing monomer, the first stage polymer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) of less than -10°C and the second stage polymer having a Tg (DMA) of greater than 80°C; and (ii) from 25 to 75 wt.%, based on the total solids weight of the multi-stage acrylic polymer, of a polyurethane.
