    摘要： A sloping roof structure comprises a supporting structure (72) and a plurality of elastically flexible, outwardly convexly curved roofing plates (74) mounted thereon. The roofing plates are mounted in a partly overlapping relationship so that the lower rim portion of each plate overlaps the upper rim portion of an adjacent lower plate. Each roofing plate is fastened to the supporting structure by means of nails (75), screws or other fastening means at a portion intermediate of the upper and lower rim portions of the plate. The initially curved plate is fixed in an at least partly flattened condition, whereby the upper and lower rim portions are resiliently pressed against the supporting structure (72) and the outer surface of the adjacent lower plate, respectively. The curved roofing plates (74) for such a roof structure may be made from a layer (37) of a plastic, deformable material, such as a cement mixture which may be reinforced by fibers. This layer of material may be placed on a curved supporting surface (70) so that the layer of material attains a shape similar to that of the supporting surface. The layer of material may then be hardened or set while supported by the curved supporting surface.

    摘要： Various forms of interlocking waterproof roofing and siding panels. The panels can comprise a background sheet of relatively thin material, in which are integrally formed one or more raised decorative elements such as simulated tile or shake elements. At the front or lower edge of each panel at least some of the decorative elements have a sunken or indented area (42) integrally formed in the face thereof, with the rear or upper portion of each decorative element having a cooperatively disposed integrally formed protruding element (40). Each panel of each successive course is retained in position at the front thereof by the interlocking of the protruding regions (40) on at least some of the decorative elements thereon with the sunken region (42) of the next lower course, and at the rear thereof by nails or staples passed through a nailing flange (44) provided for that purpose. These, plus other features of the panels, facilitate the manufacture thereof by injection molding or relatively low cost vacuum forming techniques by distributing material stretch during forming and avoiding excessive concentrated stretch in local areas.

The thermoplastic roofing membranes are formed by combining particles of crosslinked rubber and a suspension polymer dispersion, or a coagulated aqueous latex (co)polymer dispersion, to form a mixture in aqueous dispersion, which aqueous dispersion mixture is subjected to solid state shear pulverization to form materials that can be processed as thermoplastics at crosslinked rubber concentrations of from 10 wt.% to as high as 95 wt.%, based on the total solids of the material. The method may further comprise kneading the pulverized product, followed by extrusion to form roofing membranes.
