摘要: A rotary positive displacement machine, and more particularly an internal combustion engine in one of its simplest of many forms, has a housing (1) with inner walls closely surrounding four similar rotors (2, 3, 4 and 5) arranged in a symmetrical 'square' formation on axles supported by bearings in the housing. Each rotor has evenly spaced lobes and, during rotation, the lobes of neighbouring rotors are caused to interlocate, with gearing on the axles maintaining the opposite sense of rotation of such rotors. Chambers are defined between rotors, lobes and housing and, during rotation, working fluid enters through inlet ports (9 and 10) to be carried around to compression regions (21 and 22) from which sections of fluid become transferred between rotors and ignited, thereafter to join expansion regions (25 and 26) before becoming exhausted through outlet ports (11 and 12). The compression ration so achieved varies and converges to a predictable value.

The inner ducts (KW) connect the suction duct (KS) with the ring duct (KP) and the ring duct (KP) is connected with the suction holes routed in the rear compensation plate (6).

摘要: A steam engine of a simple constitution capable of efficiently obtaining mechanical energy not only from a heat source of a high temperature but also from various heat sources in a low-temperature state such as the exhaust heat of an internal combustion engine. The engine comprises a displacement engine 1 having a rotor 13 that rotates, a steam-generating portion 2 arranged thereunder and a condenser 3 arranged thereover. Water heated in the steam-generating portion 2 becomes the steam which is fed into the displacement engine 1, enters into an operation chamber that moves up, rotates the rotor 13 and is, thereafter, fed into the condenser 3 where it is condensed to turn into the condensate. The condensate falls on the rotor 13 on the lower side due to gravity, and is refluxed into the steam-generating portion 2 through the operation chamber that moves downward with rotation of the rotor 13. The steam engine efficiently operates even at low speeds, requires no pump for refluxing the condensate, and is constituted in a compact size.

摘要: A gearwheel motor has two mutually engaged externally toothed wheels (14, 15) against the side surfaces of which is pressed a sealing plate (26) by means of two approximately concentric compression fields (A, B). The two compression fields do not communicate with each other. The pressure of one compression field (B) can be controlled by means of an electro-magnetically driven control valve (41), thus changing the compression force of the sealing plate (26) on the toothed wheels. When the gearwheel motor is started, the compression force must be low, so that the starting resistance may also be low. Under high pressures, the compression force is increased by closing the valve, avoiding oil leakage along the toothed wheels from the high pressure to the low pressure side.
