摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure generally provide a drive link for a saw chain including a body portion adapted to couple to adjacent side links and a tang extending from the body and sized to engage a guide bar groove. The tang may include a through hole extending from a first tang side to a second tang side and including a through hole center. In various embodiments, a material directing feature may be disposed adjacent to the through hole on at least one of the first side and second side of the tang. The material directing feature may include a recession in the tang which encourages oil and/or wood chips to pass through the through hole.

摘要: A chain link assembly including a first link (12) pivotally joined to a second link (12) by a pin. The first link (12) has a pair of first sidebars (20) joined by a first barrel (24). Each first sidebar (20) includes first (22) and second (26) ends joined by an inner surface and an outer surface. The first ends (22) of each sidebar define coaxial first apertures (34) coaxial with the first barrel (24), and the second ends (26) define coaxial second apertures (38). A second link has a pair of second sidebars joined by a second barrel. Each second sidebar includes first and second ends joined by an inner surface and an outer surface. The second sidebar first ends define coaxial first apertures coaxial with the second barrel and the second apertures of the first link, and the second ends of the second sidebars define coaxial second apertures. A pin (16) extends through the first apertures (34) and first barrel (24) of the second link and the second apertures (38) of the first link to pivotally join the first link to the second link. In one embodiment, at least one of the links is formed from a single piece. In another embodiment, the pin (16) is rotationally fixed relative to one of the links.

摘要: A chain assembly has a plurality of adjacent links (1) that are moulded around cylindrical bushes (3), the exterior surfaces of the bushes having been pre-treated with a release agent. The links (1) are then interconnected by inserting a U-shaped connecting member (2) into the respective bushes (3) of the adjacent links (1) so that they engages therewith in a friction fit. The strength of the friction fit in a torsional direction is greater than that provided by the engagement of the bushes (3) and links (1) so that that when the adjacent links (1) are articulated relative to one another the release agent fractures so as to permit relative rotation of the bush (3) and the link (1).

摘要: A chain drive mechanism, for a construction toy system, comprised of individual U-shaped chain link elements (10). The chain link elements (10) are notched (29) at their open ends and provided with bearing portions (19, 20) at their closed ends. The notched open ends are arranged for snap fit attachment over the bearing portions (19, 20) of adjacent links, enabling a flexible chain of any length to be assembled. Drive pins (26, 27), preferably coaxial with the bearing portions, project outwardly from each side of the chain links and are engageable with grooves of spaced apart drive wheels (50, 51), collectively forming a sprocket assembly. The drive wheels can be individual gear elements otherwise used in a toy construction system for gear drive mechanisms. The base portion (13) of the U-shaped link elements are grooved transversely (22) for the snap fit attachment of construction toy connector parts, allowing the chain elements to carry other components.
