Abstract:
An air-in-line sensing apparatus (10) for use with a parenteral fluid administration set (34) to detect the passage of air through a fluid conduit (12). The apparatus comprises a first housing having a first arcuate section mounting a first transducer adjacent the first arcuate section and a second housing having a second arcuate section mounting a second transducer adjacent the second arcuate section. The first and second housings are independently movable relative to each other so that when the housings are moved towards one another, the first and second arcuate sections capture a length of administration set tubing therebetween (44) providing secure intimate contact therewith. A signal may be generated from one of such transducers, passed through the fluid conduit and received by the other transducer to detect whether the conduit is carrying air.
Abstract:
A satellite antenna positioner having a predictive maintenance function, according to an embodiment of the present invention, relates to a satellite antenna positioner having a predictive maintenance function, which supports an antenna and is configured to orient the antenna on the basis of a received satellite signal, the satellite antenna positioner comprising: a first motor which generates driving power for adjusting the elevation of the antenna; a first gear which rotates the antenna about a first axis while reducing the rotation speed of the first motor; a second motor which generates driving power for adjusting the azimuth of the antenna; a second gear which rotates the antenna about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis while reducing the rotation speed of the second motor; a control module which controls the first motor and the second motor on the basis of the sensitivity of the received satellite signal; and a predictive maintenance module which monitors whether at least one of the first gear and the second gear is abnormal.
Abstract:
Providing a meshed gear for a vehicle disposed on a power transmission path between an engine and drive wheels and made up of a pair of gears meshed with each other, the meshed gear being capable of achieving reduction in both the booming and rattling noise and the gear noise generated during power transmission. The effect of increase in the moment of inertia due to forming the driven gear 64c into a ring shape and adding the additional vibration system 100 can be counteracted by vibrating the additional vibration system 100. As a result, the reduction of the booming noise and the rattling noise can be achieved at the same time with the reduction of the gear noise.
Abstract:
A rack and pinion steerig gear (10) comprises a housing (12). A yoke assembly (40) is inthe housing (12) for at least partially supporing and guding movement of a rack bar (34) relative to a pinion gear (26). The yoke assembly (40) comprises a yoke (42) and a plurality of rotatable members. The yoke (42) has a first end surface (48) and an axis (A) that extends transverse to teh direction of movement of the rack bar (34). Each of the plurality of amembers is supported by the yoke (42). A portion of each rotatable member projects outwardof the first end surface (48) of the yoke (42) for contacting the rack bar (34). Each rotatable member is rotatable aout its axis and is fixed against movement along the yoke axis (A) relative to the yoke (42).
